Summary
He could say that he didn’t expect Armand would still be here lying faux-prone in a pile of concrete and paper and shame beneath a crater the size of his body, but he’d sell himself short. This he expected. He wonders just how long Armand will keep it up. Hopefully a while, probably less—it feels like Daniel’s heart is trying to make a break for it through the healed-over maul of his throat, he’s so freaked out.
The only other body left in the room has got eyes like headlights, and Armand might be good at fucking off, but Daniel isn’t getting the up-and-leave thing from him now.
“I’ll say, man,” he pipes up anyway, “you’ve got a good window here.”

Soonyoung looks at the triangle of bare skin beneath his robe, the apex of it upside down and widening up to his sharp collarbones, the long column of his neck. “How much did you drink?”

SPOILERS TVL EPISODE 6. Two months of Daniel/Armand living together, learning to walk in the sun, drinking from each other, and oops maybe having some sex: everything we didn't see in the show.
Molloy is pretty darn good at making dumbass decisions. So he kisses Armand and pretends it’s just the same thing as sharing blood, or sharing a coffin, or being left a mug in the microwave for the last three weeks, or calling Armand ‘his companion’ in his head.
Kissing him back as if he’s angry with hunger, Armand’s looped his good leg over him, easing onto his lap. It’s familiar.
Daniel gets onto the floor, he’s taking off the other man’s pants; careful of the broken leg. Then he’s palming at Armand’s underwear. He’s feverish again, hot with desire like he hasn’t been for… years? “You want this?” he mumbles.
“Yes.” Armand’s head thrown back. “Yes.”

Summary
The first story in this series, “Trade the Game You Know for Shelter,” can be read as a stand-alone. All of the pieces thereafter continue from the moment that first story leaves off and serve a broader plot that I’m in the process of building. Currently, the timeline covered across the existing stories is 4 September 1973 - early January 1974, but I have plans to take this series at least as far forward as 1980 in its internal timeline.
