Before Franziska could turn and walk toward her car, Maya grabbed her by the wrist with a smile and spoke cheerily, “There’s no way we’re going anywhere with you in that condition.”
“Pardon? Maya, this is foolish,” Franziska sputtered, curling her hand into a gentle fist but not fighting back. “I’m fine! It’s just some… seasonal allergies. A von Karma never gets sick!”
Franziska fought as hard as she could, but her illness left her infuriatingly weaker than usual. All she could do was glare as Maya smiled softly and laughed, gently tugging her past the threshold.
“Everybody gets sick. Now get in the house.” -

Summary
All it took was a few words, and suddenly Beom’s usual fortitude came crashing down around him. His bliss quickly dissolved into overwhelm as anxious thoughts flooded his mind. The darkness that once helped him feel cozy now triggered his paranoia. Hundreds of eyes hid in the shadows, and that all-too-familiar feeling of being watched filled him with dread. Beom’s voice caught in his throat, and his fingers dug into the sheets almost painfully as he fought to ground himself like before, but he continued to spiral without reprieve.
Realizing that there was no coming back from this, Beom eventually found his voice again and stuttered, “Ch-Cheat day!”

“Yeah, back in college! You remembered…”
Phoenix was surprised that his college years had suddenly become the topic of conversation, not realizing Miles had actually paid attention to his reminiscent ramblings all those years ago. He couldn’t help but allow a gently fond smile to grace his features as he waited for Miles to continue.
“I’m aware artists often consider this question a bother, but… I was wondering if you’d consider drawing my portrait.”
Phoenix’s eyes widened, his mind racing with whatever might’ve spurred on this sudden request. Before he could satisfy his curiosities, Miles quickly explained himself.
“I’d just… well, I’d like to see myself through your eyes. Your interpretation of me… if you will.”
As he always did while nervous, he averted his steel gaze while asking for this favor, his hands fidgeting in his lap. Phoenix’s heart briefly skipped a beat, much to his oblivion.Phoenix and Miles dance around their feelings not-so-gracefully and reminisce while Phoenix sketches the man he's pined after for years (who also happens to be his sorta-ex).

He, too, opted to drink from his cup, hiding a slight smirk, then shrugged.
