Shane’s head whipped to the side. Rozanov.
“Someone said you wanted me next.” He was chewing gum. Shane could hear the squish between his teeth from across the room.
“I’ll double check,” the person directing the shoot grabbed a clipboard. “Uh, no it’s Hollander first, then the guy from Detroit. But you’re up after that. We’ll get someone to call you through when we’re ready, okay?”
“Okay,” Rozanov echoed, and straightened up to leave. But not before obviously looking over Shane’s clothes, or lack thereof, lingering on where Louise was still highlighting his fucking left ass cheek.
Or: Shane and Ilya don’t hook up for the first time until 2015, after a photoshoot for a charity calendar.

Ilya opened his mouth like he was going to say yes but shut it again, frowning. “Police horse, maybe? From far away. But it does not matter,” he waved his hand. “I am not worried. They are like big dogs, right?”

Ilya was brave. Maybe the bravest person Shane knew, when it came to the big stuff. But he also knew his boyfriend had a tendency to the overdramatic, was raised in one city and lived in others, and got Shane to put spiders out the window when they crept in during the fall.

“No,” Rozanov shrugged, pouting so minutely Scott thought the expression might actually have been sincere, not meant for him to see. “My plus-one could not make it.”
Ah. Now that, he could commiserate with. Though he seriously doubted that Rozanov was missing whatever poor woman he had attempted to sweet-talk into a slinky dress and onto his arm for the red carpet as much as Scott missed Kip. “That sucks. Mine neither.”
