Summary
There was a reason Hyuntak was capable of pushing so much about Baekjin under the rug. Because he blamed someone else more, way more than he thought possible. Someone he thought he would cherish forever, the person who stood and watched his knee become shattered and ruined, despite knowing he was an athlete. An athlete with dreams and aspirations he used to support.
Geum fucking Seongje, the person he hated, feared, thought about way too often at times.
The person who read so much manga in 10th grade he proceeded to go around telling half the school he and Hyuntak-ie were tied together by the red string of fate.
(or hyuntak and seongje used to be childhood friends before one went to eunjang, other to ganghak)

Summary
His eyes followed the quiet, calming movements of the sea. Eerily still, no wind to carry the salt into his eyes at this time of the night.
Peaceful. Almost.
Because the heart beat a little too hurriedly within Hyuntak’s chest, chasing something. Someone.
"Come to me."
He spoke, as if enchanted. Probably dreaming, because he didn't understand to whom he was calling out to. Yet he repeated himself, eager. Wanting.
"Come. I'll be waiting."
Nothing. Not even a wave dared hit the hull of the ship as it sat docked between two small islands, only dark jagged rocks forming its surface.
Disappointed, he turned his back to the sea.
But it watched him now. It noted his presence. It knew.
It knew he belonged in it, drowning but never dying, bathing in its waters, indigo blue and teal, maelstrom filled and icy cold at the rock bottom.
His home. The home Hyuntak didn't know he had, but was going to learn was his soon.

Summary
Finding it a touch difficult to tear his eyes away from the linoleum tile beneath his new shoes, courtesy of his mother, Gyujin gulped. Yeah, he dared not be perceived as prey, not this time. So he raised his chin up in faux confidence, and let his gaze filter the faces before him. How they murmured a greeting, some even scanning him in interest.
Going from the left, top rows, middle, back. And then repeating it for the right side.
Until their eyes met.

Summary
"So?"
"So?!" Hyuntak echoed, voice raising in octave. Seongje was outrageous, irritating and insane. She struggled to place her into any box within her mind which didn't scream absurdity. Coincidentally, the very same box Hyuntak shoved in the feelings of crushing on people, too.
"Hyuntak-ah," Seongje smiled, the soft kind which gave the girl who now leaned on her left leg more, butterflies in her stomach. Or moths perhaps, rapidly somersaulting towards the blinking light bulb within her chest cavity. "I don't mind spending, this makes me happy, after all. You look like a doll, now."
"A doll?"
"Mhm." She hummed, bringing the cigarette free hand towards Hyuntak's face, who just stared back at her, unblinking. Seongje used it to tuck a few strands, short ones, behind her ear. "Such a pretty doll."

Summary
"Wait," Seongjun whispered, his breathing now more measured, forcefully controlled but slower, still. "Wait a second, Gyujin-ah."
"What?!"
He ripped himself away, clutching at the joint as if it burned. Eyes now further adjusting to the dark enough for him to see Seongjun's face clearly. Or maybe its visage was embedded in his mind, automatically filling in the blanks like a program assisting his obscured senses.
(or where gyujin and seongjun end up attending the same university, and by sheer luck of a thunderstorm come to learn their shared trauma has now shaped them both, giving them something to be tied over)

“Hey,” Seongje greets him like he didn’t just bring Na Baekjin through the door. He walks straight to him and cups his face, leaning down as if expecting a kiss.

Summary
Jeno has been holding onto so much grief for so many years, but running away didn’t solve it the first time. Running hardly ever does anything besides get a person from one place to the next. And there’s no way of knowing if that place is any better. Grass isn’t always greener.
Sometimes it’s dead.

Summary
Jeno pulls the hit as much as he can. But there's too much momentum going in, and his powers have already fired from his hand, mostly out of his grasp and control.
This is not what Donghyuck expects to happen. He does not account for the fact that despite all his best attempts, Jeno will hesitate on the killing blow once Donghyuck has given it to him.
Two years after Jeno switches sides and everything falls apart, Donghyuck makes a decision that starts to unravel everything left between them.

Soulmate, meet soulmate.
Trying to find a way to break the soulmate bond, Donghyuck moves away for two years, until the pain of the distance brings him back home. Naturally, when he returns, he meets the very person he's been trying to avoid for all his life.
