“You sound pitiful.” Leona let out a small huff of laughter. “It’s fine. Gives me an actual excuse to skip class.” He smirked, clearly amused. Ruggie was fairly certain he was getting more out of this than just that.
“D’you enjoy watchin’ me suffer?” Ruggie grumbled, swallowing back a sudden wave of nausea. Leona’s playful expression dropped, a frown tugging at his lips. Ruggie immediately regretted saying anything.

Summary
Not to toot his own horn, but Ruggie thinks it's fair to say that he's something of a backbone to his community. He's reliable, caring, and does his best to provide for everyone. If they're stuck in the slums, they're family, regardless of how long they've been there or if they've even talked before.
Being the backbone comes with a lot of hard work, though, and making tougher decisions about scenarios handcrafted by the devil himself than any sixteen-year-old should have to. He'll do it, though, and he won't complain.
Someone has to be the backbone, after all, and if no one else wants to carry the weight, he will.
