    Summary

A variety pack of stories about a pigeon living on a ship. Whether he is happy about living on that ship depends on the day, hour, minute, alignment of the planets, and the fluctuating migratory habits of the local bird populations. Still, it is better than the alternative.

    Summary

    “Simon?”

Simon slides a book into place before turning around. The man in front of him is lean, worn thin, with bags like dusky thumbprints beneath his eyes. He’s swallowed by the massive black hoodie he’s wearing, his hands wedged deep into his pockets and his shoulders hunched.

For reasons he cannot begin to understand, Simon wants to crush this man into a tiny ball and then shove him into the mouth that gapes, screaming, around his own starved heart.

He doesn’t do that, obviously. He’s on the clock.

Or: Ghost loses his memories and falls in love with his husband, again.

    excerpt

    “What,” Johnny says, grouchily.

“Roll over and look at me.”

    “I don’t want to.”

Simon waits, inevitable as an ending.

Johnny rolls over and looks at him, brows furrowed into a nasty little glare.

“What’re you gettin’ mad at me for?” Simon says. “You’re the one who suggested it.”

    “I know,” Johnny grumbles.

“Fuckin’ dumbass,” Simon says. “I don’t want anybody but you.”

    “Can’t have me.”

Simon tips over, lays down so he’s facing Johnny—two commas curled opposite each other. “Not now,” he says, “or not ever?”

    Johnny shrugs a little helplessly.

“Doesn’t matter,” Simon decides. “This is good enough for me.”

    “Good enough for your dick?”

“My dick’ll bide,” Simon says wryly.

    “It’s not fair to you.”

“Don’t much care about fair or not.”

    “You should.”

“Not fair to you to be saddled with me, either,” Simon points out. “I’m a surly old bastard. You’d be better off with a nice wife and a coupla kids and a fat lab. Maybe a white picket fence, while you’re at it.”

    “Don’t want none o’ that.”

Simon curls up tighter, bumps his knees against Johnny’s so Johnny lets their legs slot together. “I wouldn’t mind the dog, I guess.”

    “I don’t like dogs.”

“Who the hell doesn’t like dogs?”

It’s meant to be a playful jab, but Johnny’s still too sore to take it like one. He scowls and rolls over, dragging his mound of blankets with him. Simon sighs and slides up behind him, hooking his chin over Johnny’s shoulder.

“I don’t care about the dog,” Simon says.

    “You do.”

    “No, I don’t.”

“You do too. You want a dog and you can’t have a dog ‘cause you’re stuck with me.”

“Not stuck with anybody,” Simon drawls. “I like you, Johnny.”

    “More than a dog?”

Simon snorts. “Yeah, more than a dog. More than two dogs, even.”

Mollified, Johnny relaxes. “Well, guess that’s fine, then.”

“Mm. Now what’s this about me fuckin’ somebody on the side?”

“Just if you want,” Johnny mutters. “Just meant—since I can’t, I don’t mind if you find somebody who can. I won’t be mad. I’d like to know, before or after, I mean, but you don’t have to break it off with me if you don’t want to.”

“I don’t wanna break it off, and I don’t wanna fuck anybody else,” Simon says, propping up on one elbow so he can lean over to see Johnny’s face. “You hear me?”

“Mmph,” Johnny says, looking every which way but Simon's face.

    “Answer me properly.”

“Yes,” Johnny grumbles, “I hear you, sir. But if you ever do want that—”

    “I won’t.”

    “You cannae say that.”

Simon lays back down, pressing his nose to the soft back of Johnny’s mohawk. “Well,” he says, “suppose there is somebody else, now you mention it.”

Johnny goes stiff all over, and Simon wants to laugh at the blatant jealously. Little fucker wouldn’t make it a day if he thought Simon was getting his dick wet with somebody else. He’s not so noble as all that, despite his pretty words.

“My right hand’s been gettin’ a lot of attention here recently,” Simon confesses.

Johnny deflates like a stuck balloon, growling irritably. “Fuck off with ye.”

    Summary

The water was crushing, pummelling Shisui's broken form, even as it swept him further and further from Konoha.

    And then Shisui woke up.

It's two months until the day he died. Two months to change the current of his life, of his Clan, of his village. And Shisui has no intention of letting history run its course.

    Shisui lives.

(It started with Danzo but, by God, it wouldn't end with him.)

    The world is changed.

(And so are the people in it.)

    "Don’t dismiss the elements.
    Water soothes and heals.
    Air refreshes and revives.
    Earth grounds and holds.
Fire is a burning reminder of our own will and creative power.
    Swallow their spells.
There’s a certain sweet comfort in knowing that you belong to them all."
