Summary
The water splashes against the walls of the tub as he grips the wood— he splutters as his head’s dunked into the water.
“Geralt?” There’s an edge of hysteria to his voice, his stomach tight as his hair drips. “If you wanted me dead, should’ve just left me back in the—”
Geralt of Rivia is washing my hair.
“No.” His voice is so resolute as he rakes his fingers through Jaskier’s hair and works a lather into it.
Geralt, who’d wished him away with such harsh, vile words, spitting in anger as he’d pinned every wrongdoing on Jaskier’s shoulders. Geralt, who’d ignored his inquiries, hated on his songs, told him he’s a good for nothing peacock— it just makes no sense, does it?
Or, Geralt's nice to Jaskier after the mountain, Jaskier thinks he's dying, and Ciri thinks they're both idiots.

Summary
For this prompt:
When Jaskier first met Geralt, the other reacted badly to touch, so Jaskier assumes that Geralt isn't comfortable with physical affection. This continues even up to the point where the two end up in bed together: encounters between them are often just sex, without much contact before or after.
Of course, because this is a prompt, it's all a wild misunderstanding. Geralt just isn't used to dealing with closeness outside of the brief moments his coin would buy him for the night; Jaskier wishes he'd be allowed to touch and be touched by Geralt; Geralt wishes much the same. (Bonus points for Geralt with self-image issues doing his best not to wonder why the normally so touchy bard doesn't seem to want anything from Geralt outside of their tumbles.) So Jaskier's off Yearning, as he does, and Geralt's off quietly internalizing his issues and never talking about them, as he does.
But eventually they reach blessed resolution with lots of care and tenderness.

Summary
“Say you got married,” Robby found himself asking. “Would you wear your dress blues? Or civilian clothes?”
It had only been an idle thought, no different than any number of easy, directionless musings of the sort that often came over the two of them on mornings like this one, when no one had a shift to go to for at least thirty-six hours. Robby didn’t mean anything by it. But he regretted the words the instant they left his mouth, even before he saw the incredulous grin slide over Jack’s face.
“Say I got married?”
