Summary
It's the last summer for college after they spent their childhood quite literally saving the world. Nothing is really normal but it's close enough and the party are hunkered down in the Wheeler basement watching bad romance movies, a little bit buzzed on alcohol, discussing all their bad romance takes and choices.
It takes exactly one movie before they realise that Will can't join in because he doesn't have any romance stories to tell.
They decide right there that the end of summer is going to be spent helping their best friend become the very best he can be so that when he goes to college he can have as many romantic moments as he wants.
From there it's fashion shows, flirt training, practice dates and realising that he's already in a romance story and has been since he got off that swingset.
Hopefully this one has a happy ending.

On a bet with Gareth, Eddie sets out to prove that Straight Boy Steve is actually a pretty bang-up guy by worming his way in close enough to ask him out on a date.
Gareth bets that Eddie's gonna end up with a shiner. Eddie bets that Steve'll let him down easy, like a gentleman.
Neither of them bets that Steve has been taking all of Eddie's flirting seriously, and is planning to ask Eddie out first. It’s gonna get worse before it gets better.

At first, Mike was unsure how to approach him when he got like this. But they’ve been living together for months now, never further than five feet apart in their dorm beds, so Mike’s learned what works and what doesn’t.
It works when he wakes Will like this, with gentle hands and words, telling him he’s safe. It works when he climbs into Will’s warm bed, turning him on his side and curling up against his back, an arm over his waist and his cheek pressed against his shoulder. They lie together like that until Will’s hiccupping gasps soften into steady breaths, until Mike feels him go limp in his arms and he knows he’s fallen back asleep. It always works.
or: Will has nightmares and Mike is the only one who can console him. Not even Will's boyfriend can. Mike takes great pride in this fact.
