Summary
Five years have passed since the halted conclusion of Harringley’s last tour as a band when Steve gets a call that changes everything. After five years of pursuing their own projects, the band is tentatively back together. Sort of. Steve is an adult now—he knows a good opportunity when he sees one and can totally handle being in the same room with the man he loved and lost five years ago. He’s got this.
It’s just… Steve hadn’t expected all the changes in Eddie, or the things he’s missed and is now reminded of, and it’s bringing up a lot of shit he would rather not deal with. Like, how he apparently never stopped loving Eddie Munson at all.
He’s survived Eddie Munson before, why can't he do it again?

Eddie Munson has his finger on the self destruct button. He doesn't know how to stop, and doesn't care enough to try. After Steve finds him under Andy's fist with a laugh bouncing off his tongue, he does everything he can to bring him back from the ledge.
He isn't the only one that wants to show Eddie that his life is worth fighting for.

Eddie stared at the cream tile on the shower wall, “Must’ve followed me from my deal. Pulled me into the alley.”
Steve hummed. He moved the alcohol soaked cotton to Eddie’s lip. A breath pushed from behind his teeth. He closed his eyes against the sharp pain.
“Do I look like I’m buying that?”
Eddie looked at him. Steve moved his eyes from Eddie’s lip, his thumb brushing over it slightly as he continued cleaning. There was a knowing glint. He raised one eyebrow.
Just like that, Eddie realised how close they were standing. Steve had situated himself against the outside of Eddie’s legs, his belt buckle pressed against his thigh and one hand braced on the counter by Eddie’s hip. The proximity made him short of breath. He blamed it on the discomfort, not the brush of Steve’s skin against his bottom lip.

Summary
After everything that happened during Spring Break, life for everyone in Hawkins returned to somewhat normal. Well, aside from Steve's new friendship with one Eddie Munson.
The gang decide they all deserve a break and head to Steve's family beach house for a week, featuring copious amounts of fluff, found family bonding, blurring (or completely ignoring) the line between platonic and romantic, and bullying being considered flirting.

Summary
Steve Harrington came back to an empty house that night, as he was used to doing. But things were different now. Max Mayfield was in critical condition, and Eddie Munson was dead. At least, that's what he thought.
This fic starts right after the events with Vecna, starting that night and continuing into the two day time skip. This is a mirrored fic with @lethargicWaste 's fic "Feel Like I Am Human Again." This is Steve's pov, they are writing Eddie's pov. We intended for the reader to alternate between chapters while reading (for example, read my chapter one, then read their chapter one, and continue on like that. or vice versa.) This is not necessary, if you would prefer to wait and read all of one you totally can, but things will make more sense if you read both POVs the way we intended. Especially as this is Steve's POV, and Eddie's gives a lot of needed context into what he is.
