Eskel and Jaskier meet one night in a tavern and get off to a poor start. Jaskier is a famous troubadour, and some of his more aggressive fans have figured out how to manipulate and weaponize his soulmarks to get a piece of him. He mistakes Eskel for being one of them.
Eskel actually is his soulmate, but he has resisted the idea of soulmates his entire life.
This is the story of how Jaskier and Eskel take a chance on love.
