Summary
Bucky enters a local yarn store. His reason: Steve. His mission: crafting. His experience: surprisingly good.
This story is almost entirely composed of the never-ending scene wherein Bucky and a yarn store employee discuss how to choose a yarn project and then select yarn. The author is okay with this, perhaps because the author is a knitter. (And crocheter, and sometimes spinner, and sometimes weaver... you get the point.)
Bucky has trauma, but while it's very present here, it isn't going to blow up in his face, and the spectacular employee he's interacting with does their best to help him get through the experience safely and successfully.

Somehow, Bruce had directed Bucky to what had to be the only craft store in all of New York City with employees who could handle an uncomfortable, mostly non-verbal ex-assassin. (The Bruce-voice didn’t point out that Bruce himself probably liked the store for the same reasons Bucky did. Bucky already knew that.)

Summary
Leorio knew for what felt like the millionth time, that he was going to regret this, but shakily he shuffled under the covers, and was instantly met with sad, tired, amber eyes staring back at him. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out, so instead he just pulled Hisoka close, and hushed him as he felt his shoulder start to dampen when Hisoka hid his face in the crook of his neck.
Leorio learned two things that night, Hisoka couldn't sleep alone when he was vulnerable and hurt, and that Hisoka was a silent crier.

He watched him cower just a little more when he reached for the light, and so he decided not to turn it off, "Yeah, I don't like the dark much either. C'mere, don't make it weird alright?" He invited Hisoka into his arms, feeling him shuffle just a little closer until he eventually was resting calmly in his embrace. Like a scared animal perhaps.
A beautiful one.
Leorio decided to cut his thoughts off right there and instead focused on running his calloused hand along the magician's back, using the other to card his fingers through that red hair of his. This felt oddly intimate, but then again he brought this onto himself.

Leorio decides to stay over at Hisoka's place, he feels the rain two times that night, once outside beneath the stars, and once inside with a ceiling over his head.

“I was thinking about the last time I saw you.” Kurapika grabs Hisoka’s wrist to hold his hand in place and grinds down with full force. He swallows a moan. “And how you’re a better kisser than you look.”
Leorio’s breath hitches. “Are you drunk or something?”
“No, I’m…” Hisoka holds a finger to his lips and winks. Kurapika closes his eyes. “I’m in bed.”
Leorio doesn’t say anything for a long moment. The phone screen is still lit up, the call time ticking higher second by reliable second. Kurapika holds his breath and waits.
Finally, Leorio says, voice strained, “Kurapika… are you…”
“Yes,” Kurapika says. “Should I hang up?”
__A fic in which Kurapika needs help from Hisoka and Leorio to handle a lust-based nen curse.
