Kakashi looks at him expectantly and it’s only then that Iruka realizes he actually has to do something since Kakashi agreed to let him try this. He goes slowly, hoping that his deliberate movements come across as confidence and not what they actually are.
It's probably best for Kakashi to stay where he is on the couch, so Iruka goes around the back of it to stand behind him. Iruka starts to move his hands where he needs to. Hesitates. Tries again. Gets a little closer. Still can't.
“Can I … I need to, uhm — is it alright if I touch you?”

Summary
Osaka is different. He's never lived here, so it's never been "home", but every time he's gone for too long he gets antsy. He expects the door to his bedroom to be on the left side of the hallway, when it's actually on the right. Gets startled at the way sounds seep in through his bedroom window when there isn't another body to muffle them. Sniffs fresh laundry and wonders if he forgot detergent, only to remember that Osamu just uses way too much.
Suna wonders if this is what homesickness feels like.
Well, if Suna is sick, this must certainly be the cure. The routines of visiting Osamu settle behind his chest the way a warm bowl of kasujiru does on a cold day. Transforming the ache of longing into the ease of having.

No, those were all idiots he could handle.

Summary
Many things about Yuuji don’t adhere to silly rules like logic and continuity.
One of them — a big one, as far as the cushion is concerned, maybe the one that taught Megumi that this is a thing he needs to watch out for, that Itadori Yuuji will take everything he knows about the world and turn it on its head — is that every time Yuuji sits on that cushion, sunlight shines through the window to illuminate him on all sides, and Megumi becomes certain that angels are very, very real.
It could be three o’clock in the morning during the coldest part of winter and the sun would wake early just to make sure that Yuuji doesn’t have to bear the weight of being the brightest thing in the world all on his own.

If this was another one of Kakashi's stupid pranks, there was going to be one less jonin in the world come tomorrow.
There's far more dedication in this one than in his others, Yamato will give him that. Kakashi's convinced most of Konoha to get involved. They're all really selling it too, the traitors.

Yamato has spent weeks trapped in the woods with Naruto, on various missions and other training assignments. They went through the bulk of the Akatsuki's hunt for the Nine Tails together. Trained so that Naruto could make the Rasen-Shuriken together. Spent weeks trapped on a boat together.
They've gone through all of that and more, and never once — through any of it — has Yamato in his whole, damn life heard —
"Hinata is going to be the most beautiful bride, don't you think?"

Maybe if he had the choice to go back, Megumi would be faster, smarter, make better choices and avoid every hospital in Sendai. But he can’t. What’s done is done. What he can do is be there for Yuuji now, when he needs him, so that he’d never have to look over his shoulder and find himself alone.
Just like he said he would.“Okay,” Megumi says, relaxing his hands. He places them on the tabletop in front of him like he’s got nothing to hide, and stares straight ahead at the stove. “If you need help cleaning up your undercut, I can help you trim it. If you want.”
Yuuji goes maddeningly silent for a moment, long enough for Megumi to regret even offering, until he blurts out a delighted “Really?”
Two months after Shinjuku, Megumi helps Yuuji cut his hair.
