Caitlyn, as the ship's captain, is ready to do anything she can to help her crew survive in their new environment. Including descending into one of the miles deep fissures that permeates the surface of their new planet, and making an odd alliance with a furry pink alien who is entirely too flirtatious for the good of either of them.
It ends about how you would expect.

All Vi has to do is deliver a sandwich and a smoothie to some rich asshole who can afford to pay her for a twenty minute drive out to their exceedingly strange gated community. Except that the person who opens the door to take their food from her is perhaps the hottest woman she's ever seen, and also now has purple smoothie sludge all over her shoes.
At least the asshole part of Vi's assumption isn't correct, she just wasn't expecting to get tipped with sex.

There's nothing Vi loves more than this. Having Caitlyn tied down and spread out before her, and getting to make her feel better than anyone or anything else ever could. It's their worship.
For Caitlyn it's the act of giving up, offering all of herself to the person who she trusts most in the world, and for Vi it's having that trust, holding it close to herself and using it as the spark that tells her to keep going, to take more, because Caitlyn wants to give it up.

Vi rents out a vacation home for a week, hoping it will bring her some peace and clear out some demons. The demons, she's working on, exercising them by soaking herself in salt water.
The peace, though, might be less on the agenda than she thought, when a stranger shows up in her rented house a day into her stay. Completely mutually unwilling to fight with the booking company, the two of them make a pact to share the house instead.
There's totally nothing that could ever make that go awry.

Hoping to be endearing enough with the good qualities for those bad things to someday be less scary. But at some point you’ve got to start being a bit more honest about yourself and hoping that you’re still worth all that effort.
Insecurities eat at everyone, and Vi’s no exception to that. Bringing Caitlyn home (and the honesty that comes along with that) is scary, but she’s so worth the risk.
