The blue of Satoru’s eyes had not faded. It was as cataclysmic now as it had been on the day they first met.
“My dear consort eternal,” Satoru purred, “it has been a long time.”

'“I wanted to see you” he answered, after a while, and none of them made a move. Not even Ren’s hands moved, or his fingers. Both were completely still, staring at each other’s eyes.
Hux scoffed at that answer.
“You see me all the time, anywhere. You see me on the bridge and in hallways. And if you wished to see me in private, you just had to call or come over to my quarters. But not while I am showering” he said, and despite the sarcasm in his voice, it was cold, empty of meaning. Those words were simply an answer.
They were more than an answer, actually. A way of telling Kylo to get the hell away from Hux. But Kylo wouldn’t do that.

When Captain Hux leads an expedition beyond the Wall, he intends a simple mission perfect for breaking in new cadets. The newest Survey Corps recruits are promising, and Hux has his eye on one in particular-- General Organa's overzealous son. Ben Solo is young, naive, and foolish, but he's a strong fighter and he's certainly no coward.
But when Hux selects Ben to be a part of a small task force to deter a stampeding hoard, he expects to make short work of the approaching threat.
He doesn't expect to loose his whole team. He doesn't expect to watch Ben die. And he certainly doesn't expect to be rescued by a strange new variation of titan that, impossibly, seems almost human.
