His body was just about to look around the door. He was crying in his own mind at this point, unable to cry outwardly.
THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP.
His body peeked around the door for but a moment and he saw-
I watched "Searching For a World That Doesn't Exist" and brought back a dead magic system concept that I had rattling 'round my brain, and this is the result!

Summary
His parents will die if he doesn’t get a good grade on this test.
He already knows exactly what would happen:
A failing score would drop his overall grade, which would make people start thinking of him as the stupidest person alive, and that meant that he’d never become a hero, and his parents would end up getting caught in a villain attack that he would’ve been able to prevent if he was there to save them.
Simple as that.
“Here, Bakugou,” Aizawa-sensei says, speaking in the same monotone as always. His expression is impossible to discern.
Katsuki snatches the test out of his teacher’s hand, trying his best to convey something like stop wasting my time, but it probably comes out more like: why are you giving me something that could ruin my life?
His teacher raises an eyebrow at him — a silent scolding — and then moves along.

Izuku hates himself. He's Quirkless. There's no way he can become a hero. He has very mixed feelings about his body. Instead of laying in bed depressed he goes out and jumps off buildings to take his mind off things. It ends about as well as you'd expect.
Himiko hates herself. She doesn't want to drink blood, but she has to, like a monster. She wanders the city, trying to find a meal that won't tip off her parents. Then a boy falls from the sky.

He certainly hadn't pictured an emaciated girl with yellow eyes and sharp fangs when he thought about his heir, but as soon as he saw her, he knew that she, perhaps more than anyone, deserved a chance to be a hero.
