"What's your name?" The words landed cleanly, like they hadn't just broken something.
The soldier didn't answer right away; he was watching him now, "Why does my name matter?" He spoke, quietly but no less pointed, "Expendables are just numbers, right?"
Jo held his gaze, refusing to correct himself and refusing to take back what he said, "What's your name?"
There was a pause long enough for Jo to assume the soldier would refuse to answer.

This story is a slow burn focusing on the aftermath of Will being kept hostage, it can be perceived as non- con Stockholm syndrome or a slow burn of the two falling in love, there are mentions of non-con drug use and a developing sexual relationship!
