    “I was thinking that—” Peter pauses, before taking a breath and trying again, wording it differently this time. “When you have days like today,” he starts, “I think it’s hard for you to see all the good things about you. All the things I like about you. Is that— Is that fair?”

    Wade nods, his words come out small. “The mean voices are loud.”

    “Yeah.” He stumbles over it. “I want to be able to actually show you.” His words sound more sure as he speaks. “I want to try kissing you all over, every part I love, with the lipstick on. It’d be like marking you up, but these will actually stay long enough for you to see them after.”

    There’s a softness, a fondness, that sits in Wade’s gut, making him feel warm.

    It was finally Friday night and Wade and Logan enjoyed their well deserved rest by watching whatever was on TV, cuddling each other.

    “Ah but these are just for show, aren't they, sweetie?” Wade's thumb was back against Logan's lips, forcing him to open his mouth to trace his flat front teeth and inch closer to a fang.

    Logan surprisingly let him. “Ah foouldn’t-” he tried to warn Wade around his finger but the other had already pressed the sharp point against his thumb.

    “Shit, they're sharp.” He pulled his hand back to look at the fat drop of blood growing bigger until the wound closed.
    Logan raised an eyebrow as if saying ‘I told you’ and leaned to lap up the blood.

    He knew he should stop, they would notice soon. Pick up on the fact that he couldn’t draw his lips away from the fragile skin of her throat for more than a minute. They'd call him out on it.
    He couldn't let them know about this. Not this. So he really needed to get a hold of himself before he did something he couldn't take back. Something they wouldn't forgive him for.
