Summary
Max and Bonnie are finally able to become Pokémon Trainers, and so they set out on their journey together. As they travel, Max documents their journey, and all of the pokémon they see, in a notebook he titles, "The Trainer's Guide to the Pokémon World." But, a mysterious group is targeting him, hoping to gain the knowledge he holds for themselves. With new friends, and old faces helping them, Max and Bonnie desperately try to stay one step ahead of this group. But, with everything he holds dear balanced on a seesaw with his life's work perched on the other end, Max Maple may have to make some terrible choices.

Summary
It's easy to look at a situation from the outside and say, "I could've avoided that." Going from unwilling side character to not part of the story at all can be as simple as wrong timing. As a new trainer setting off to fulfill a dream never thought possible, all Dia wants is to avoid any and all action that's drawn to Hilda via being an adversary of Team Plasma.
She forgets that the requirements of a hero aren't simply "existing."
