    In the Shire there were two truths. The Tooks were odd and the Baggins were respectable. The Baggins family dealt in contracts and favours, and while the Shire knew that the Tooks were odd, it was the Baggins family that had other blood running through their veins.
    Bilbo Baggins did not go running out his door for want of an adventure, he went running out his door because of a terribly worded contract and a laughable quest that somehow held the spark of other.
    In this story, it is not the Tooks that held fae blood in their family tree, it is the Baggins, and theirs is so much closer to the surface.

    Always a great reread
    I think I used to think the broken contract was something pre battle of last alliance which had hobbit archers though they’re left out of big folk history books,
    That the leaders promised their people would do their best to defeat Sauron and so Gollum was the breaker
    But Bilbo said it wasn’t a hobbit so maybe Sméagol wasn’t a hobbit? Or he was a hobbit with no fairy blood?
    Now I’m leaning more towards Sauron or Saurman being the breaker, though maybe Saurman would have turned into a balrog by now
    Omg is the balrog the breaker? Is the balrog one of the blue wizards since corruption didn’t have to be done by Melkor?
    Did Melkor sing fairies into being?
    Still like the idea of everyone being at fault otherwise it’s terribly unjust

    Love that Tom Bombadal is a fairy
    I’m firmly of the belief that if you pitted the greatest warriors of each race against each other, picked from all of history that Tom would always win
    From dragons, balrogs, Maia, Ainur, stone giants, ents, elves, hobbits, Goldberry and even that octopus thing
    Tom hands down every time

    Orcs being breakers instead of Melkor creations is completely radical I love it, mind blown

    Summer holidays have only lasted two weeks, but to Harry Potter it has seemed like an eternity. However, an odd encounter involving loose lips and a Chocolate Frog will lead him on a journey to a whole new realm, beyond even the strangeness of the Wizarding World. The Boiling Isles are a place of macabre oddities, where the rain burns you and demons are common place, yet something tells Harry he will feel right at home.

    With his best friend Ron Weasley at his side, Harry will join the delightfully odd Muggle girl and aspiring witch Luz Noceda under the apprenticeship of none other than Eda the Owl Lady - the most powerful and most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles. Together these three young humans will spend their summer learning magic, making new friends and enemies, giving an adorable king of demons belly rubs, and trying to avoid the horrifying, annoying owl... tube... thing who just so happens to also be their house.

    But it's not all one big goblet of pumpkin juice. Deep in his castle, the mysterious Emperor Belos plots against all wild magic, and his Coven Head Lilith Clawthorne harbours terrible secrets, one of which might just shake the foundations of Harry Potter's very existence...

    It was a sad day when one had to resort to time travel because things were just so fucked up. Stiles should know. He went back to undo the whole ‘Beacon Hills is a death trap’ thing but for now he would just settle for knowing where the fuck he was. Even the year would be a nice start. Someone? Anyone?

    Or, the one where Stiles travels back in time, karma comes to bite him in the ass, and he ends up as Kate Argent's hunter mentor. He didn't take Peter Hale into account either, and he definitely didn't sign up for everything that came after.
