But since the last sentence was never finished. He never got there. He was never okay.
What wouldn’t he give to go back to staring at the clouds? To drown in those bored eyes? He wanted more than never before to sink in those comforting shadows. Just once again.

Summary
As Uzumaki Naruto has just returned from a mission, he is targeted by a mysterious organization with unknown motives. Despite the endeavour of Hatake Kakashi, Naruto is abducted without leaving the slightest trace. After a month of absence, he reappears in the village, but he seems ... different. Only Kakashi will manage to gain the trust of an amnesiac and feral Naruto. Konoha, especially the Copy Ninja, will seek to discover what happened on the night of the kidnapping and the month following this said disappearance which marked the young boy forever.

Summary
Whenever the topic of babies and families comes up, it’s just one of those conversations he’s still regularly excluded from. Not out of any real intent to be hateful, but more because everyone else is always so certain that they already know what his opinion on the subject is going to be.
Because, no matter how much has changed, some part of Naruto will, apparently, always be that same loud, rough idiot he used to be in the heads and hearts of the people he loves.
It stings a little, Naruto’s willing to admit that to himself and Kurama, but he doesn’t focus on it, doesn’t bother to muster up the energy to complain about it.
It’s a small hurt after all and he has far fewer of those to deal with these days than he used to.
Still, with all of that taken into account, it’s perfectly understandable in Naruto’s opinion that he goes a little bit insane when Sakura gets pregnant.

“I dunno,” Naruto responds, sarcastic enough to cut, “how the fuck do you know anything about nuclear fusion?”
The fox glances away haughtily. “I’m allowed to have hobbies.”
Kushina huffs, glaring at Kakashi. “This is your fault, isn’t it?”
Kakashi rolls his eyes. “It’s funny that you think I’ve ever had any kind of control over the way your son behaves.”

Naruto crashes into the past by accident and fixes things on purpose. Mostly.
A story about letting go, letting new people in, and learning who you are when you’re finally living for yourself.
