Steve deserved better—better than a man drowning in guilt and ghosts. So Bucky walked away.It’s been nearly eight years since. He assumed Steve had moved on, found peace… maybe even someone new. He didn’t know that after returning the Stones, Steve disappeared. No one—not Sam, not Stark, not even Natasha—had heard from him.
Steve had buried himself in the middle of nowhere, chasing silence and solitude, haunted by seven words that broke him: "You’re too much. I want you to leave."
He built a quiet life from the wreckage, a fragile semblance of peace.What he didn’t know was that peace never lasts.
Because sometimes, in trying to protect the people we love, we become the thing that breaks them.
I've had this in my head for a long time. I want it to end on an hopeful note. I have no idea if i will write a few chapters more or just a sequel one shot. I promise lots of angst and feels.

The car was fancy but not so much so that he'd be able to name the make without looking at the logo on the hood.
"Hey," A man called from inside the vehicle.
"I'm not selling." Dennis murmured, shuffling faster down the street to try and lose the vehicle.
"Whitaker," A second more familiar voice called from inside the vehicle, Dr. Robby he realized, and turned around to face the attending and his husband.
Or
Jack and Robby insist on driving Dennis home only to discover he's homeless. Naturally they take him home.

Summary
The BAU team has a new obsession—and it’s not the latest case. It’s getting Hotch and Reid together, obviously. They'd be perfect: the grumpy one and the sunshine one, the stern profiler and the excitable genius. Classic slow-burn.
Problem is, nothing seems to work. Not Rossi’s “accidental” wine nights. Not Morgan’s bro-level pushing. Not even Penelope’s PowerPoint of “Spencer + Aaron = OTP.”

“I can’t take that pain away,” Aaron murmurs apologetically, squeezing Spencer’s hand in his own like he can forcibly inject some life back into the hollow shell sitting in front of him.
Spencer’s hand floats up to Aaron’s bicep, toying with the fabric of his long sleeve absently as Aaron keeps hold of his other hand.
“I know” he starts, a distance in his voice that makes Aaron uneasy, like Spencer’s not really speaking to him, “but, maybe…”
Spencer’s eyes flutter before he looks up at Aaron, irises dark enough in the low light to hide his needle point pupils.
His hand on Aaron’s bicep slowly trails up toward his shoulder.
“Maybe, just for tonight… you could take my mind off it?”
AKA Spencer's been slowly cracking for a month. It's only a matter of time until someone else notices.
