Summary
On the rooftop of the Startford Tower, Markus has to choose between killing Simon to keep Jericho safe or leaving him behind with all the risks involved. But none of those options feel right to him, so he settles on a decision that is entirely his own.
Or, Markus chooses to stay with Simon to keep him safe, leading to a blossoming relationship between the two androids throughout the events unfolding in Detroit.

Summary
Simon leans forward until he and Markus are inches away. Blue eyes meet Markus' heterochromatic. He places his hand on his scruffy cheek. His thumb brushes his hair and traces his nose, then his lips after. Slowly, Markus copies. He runs his thumb over sparking scales, counting the shapes. Then his hand closes over Simon’s chin, gently opening his mouth to see his fanged canines. His teeth come together into a cheeky grin. Simon nips his finger playfully, then in one smooth motion, he steals the sandwich and dunks under the water out of reach. Markus is left on the edge of the pool, mouth open like a fish, with a dumb expression on his face. Then he laughs.
