But there’s whisperings of a map that could eradicate the Empire and pirates for good. When Akaashi sneaks onto a pirate ship to obtain it, he’s pulled into something that forces him to work with the most infuriating pirate captain he’s ever met—Bokuto Koutarou.

“Yes”
“Are you fucking Sakusa?”
“Yes”
“Does Sakusa know you have a husband?
“Yes”
“What the fuck Sakusa, and why are you laughing Motoya?” Inunaki hissed.
“So you are betraying your husband?”, Bokuto asked, scrunching up his nose in disgust.
“No”
“I don’t get it. Is this some kind of open relationship thing?”, Hinata chimed in.
Atsumu groaned. “Noooo”.Or: When Atsumu and Sakusa meet at the Youth camp they fall in love hard and fast but decide to keep their relationship private until they’ve established themselves in the pro scene. Summary
Kiyoomi has a very, very, very small problem.
At the age of 24, he’s discovered he has feelings for someone. To make matters worse, it’s for one of his teammates. To make matters worse, this profound discovery came to him in a loud and sweaty bar, packed like a sardine against strangers. To make matters worse, these feelings are for none other than Atsumu Miya.
How did this come to be, you might ask? Kiyoomi would be miserable to tell you, but he’s going to do it anyway.
It started off with hand wipes.

Summary
Tendou meets Akaashi during a national tournament. He has a weird feeling that he should befriend him, and his instincts have never led him astray before. Akaashi sees a lot of himself in Tendou and wants to get to know him in hopes that he can find that same free spirit. They develop a friendship after discovering how much they have in common. One of those commonalities being their feelings for their captains, even if Tendou is a little slow on the uptake of that one (like ridiculously slow).
The funny thing is that they also have the same jersey number! And down the line, they just so happen to befriend someone else with that same number (who has plenty of oddities of his own).

“They’re doing some deal at the coffee shop,” Atsumu replies happily, hands tucked into his pockets as he bounces on his heel, “two drinks for the price of one if ya post them on social media.”
“I’m sure your audience of five will boost their business wonderfully.”
“Keep lying to yourself and those wrinkles will become permanent, sweetheart.”
Talking to Miya Atsumu is always a public humiliation trial and Kiyoomi has yet to figure out a definitive way to shut that guy up without it escalating.
Kiyoomi prays for the day Atsumu’s poking fun stops having an effect on him.

Summary
If there was one thing Miya Atsumu was not, it was nice. People knew him, people maybe even respected him. Above all else, people tolerated him. Atsumu knew this, used this. It was how he navigated life - bickering, teasing, charming, annoying one person at a time. It didn’t build strong friendships, but so long as everyone knew his name, that was good enough. Which is why, when Sakusa Kiyoomi first walked onto the practice court and quietly, emotionlessly, introduced himself, Atsumu felt his entire sense of self slip away.

Summary
Sakusa Kiyoomi hated surprises.
For as long as he knew, surprises meant you were unprepared - that also meant things having a higher tendency to go wrong. He liked having a plan, and a backup plan, and a backup plan for the backup plan. Which was why it was no surprise he continued to play volleyball after high school, played volleyball as MVP in college, it was hardly a surprise the MSBY Black Jackals wanted him on their team.
Having to put up with Miya Atsumu getting under his skin? That he had not expected to its full extent.
"Aww, ain't that cute?" Atsumu cooed. "It's nice to know ya haven't changed much from being a jackass since high school, Omi-Omi~"
Sakusa took a step closer, "Takes one to know one." He said through gritted teeth.
In the background, Inunaki could be seen sighing. "Hinata, tell me again, were they always like this?"
"Oh I mean, I think they always had a rivalry ever since high school, Inunaki-san. Why?"
"I guess you can say they're a match...made in hell."

Summary
At sixteen, he discovered that kicking the top bunk where Osamu was sleeping would lead to a bloody nose and a month's worth of being grounded. At seventeen, he had the unfortunate realization that bleach would strip your hair if you didn’t deep condition it after. At eighteen, he may have learned the hardest lesson of all: arguing with a referee over a bad call would get you ejected from the game…and benched for the next two.
Or: Atsumu spends his time trying not to argue with refs, so Kiyoomi decides to do it on his behalf. Atsumu copes about as well as you think he might.

Summary
On a Friday, Coach Yamiji passes away, much to the dismay of his former students.
On Friday night, Bokuto comes back to Tokyo.
On Sunday, the Fukurodani Boys Volleyball attends the funeral service for their beloved coach.
On Sunday night, Akaashi finds a betting pool about him and Bokuto on Konoha's computer.
The following Monday, they go on a vacation to Hakone Hot Springs, to catch up and relax, and definitely not crash a couples getaway.
On Monday night, they encounter their old "rival" Daishou in a barbecue restaurant, where they plan to play a rematch game between old rivals.
Akaashi loves his friends, but was a mellow week at the onsen with his boyfriend too much to ask?
Or,
A spin on the movie Grown Ups, where Bokuto and Akaashi pretend not to be dating to wreak havoc, Fukurodani does more chaos-generating than practicing for their upcoming match, and the team antics and romantic moments are far more important than the absurdly mismatched volleyball game.

Summary
Bokuto waited to graduate before confessing to Akaashi. There was a small part of him that planned it that way because they wouldn’t have to constantly see each other if he got his ass rejected. The larger reason for doing it at his graduation was that he could lock down the man of his dreams so people wouldn’t make any moves on him during the year they were apart before Akaashi joined him in college.
Unfortunately, most people did not get the memo that they were very much in love and committed to each other.

"Yes, you. You're not straight, don't even try that with me." Hoshiumi's words are almost as cutting as the piercing look in his eyes, pupils wide and round. "And even if you are, or you think you are, you should come anyway and show support. It'll be fun."
Kageyama really isn't sure how a bunch of loud people in bright colors walking around outside could be fun, but… he can't help thinking he'd be proud to go, if he actually had the guy he liked with him. If they were actually a thing. If he could stop chickening out, before it was too late.

Summary
“Where’d ya wanna go from?” Atsumu offers, fingers unconsciously pressing on random keys.
“Top?” Kiyoomi suggests. After all, it’s the first few measures that’s the most important – they set the background for the rest of the song.
Atsumu counts them in softly, beginning his solo. Kiyoomi listens, almost forgetting to count his rests.
Sunlight in his lungs, indeed.
Kiyoomi lifts his mouthpiece to his lips, curling his sound around Atsumu’s, cupping the airy flute in velvet, cradling it. He doesn’t try to resist the pull – letting himself feel every drop of light that seeps into his skin.
Atsumu is the sun, emitting warmth, radiant and relentless.
And Kiyoomi, belatedly, now knows that once you face the sun, it’s impossible to look away.

Summary
This is when Oikawa turns towards him, facing Iwaizumi fully. One of his legs is slightly folded and tucked against his front, with both of his hands resting atop of his thigh. His eyes roam across Iwaizumi’s face as though he’s searching for something; subjecting Iwaizumi to that familiar scrutinizing gaze that often leaves him feeling strangely exposed. “You practice,” he says matter-of-factly. “With me.”
Iwaizumi can feel the exact moment his brain decides to short-circuit.

So perhaps it’s Kuroo Tetsurō’s fault for being born and then having a stupid party about it, and maybe it’s Motoya’s fault for talking Kiyoomi into coming. And yeah, possibly, it’s Kiyoomi’s fault for actually going.
But being pressed up against Miya Atsumu in a closet (literal, not metaphorical), with no light and barely space to breathe?
Well, take a wild guess.
