Summary
Being the avatar is just a title, it's a thankless and faceless position, but Oikawa Tōru is okay with that. It's not a bad life out in the middle of nowhere with his family and his best friend, Iwaizumi Hajime. Although, he must admit that the best part of this life is that he gets to spend it with Iwaizumi. He's kind of in love with him, and Oikawa figures it's about time he tells him how he feels.
Unfortunately, time waits for no man. Not even the avatar.
Unrest is stirring. Things are catching fire. Not only in the Fire Nation but it seems that every nation in the world is falling into shambles. World leaders are turning on their people and destroying their nations. Something is very wrong. The world is falling out of balance.
That's when people start to whisper about that old savior that they had forgotten. The only person capable of bringing balance to a quickly toppling world: the avatar.
Oikawa never felt like the avatar because he never felt quite good enough. Master of all the elements, but not the best. How could he save anyone? He isn't sure. But maybe with the help of his best friend and the new friends he finds along the way, Oikawa will save the world.
