Theo decides to stay in Beacon Hills after the events of the Ghost Riders and Monroe's Army. He's not sure why, knows that the town will probably be attacked by some big bad again (spoiler: Theo's right), but while he can't find a logical reason to stay, he can't quite find any push to leave either.
An exploration of Theo Raeken, everything that he's been made to be, and all the potential that remains. It is, first and foremost, a story of Theo's journey, built around the narrative of a new threat in Beacon Hills and eventual Theo/Liam relationship. Will feature appearances from other Teen Wolf characters (to be updated as we go): Alec, Nolan, Sheriff Stilinski, Jordan Parrish, Scott, Stiles, Derek, Peter, the Calaveras.
Starts in season 6, goes past the finale from chapter 3 onwards. Inspired by Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Albert Camus' essay, The Myth of Sisyphus.

“I just…” Liam let out a frustrated huff. “When does it stop being ‘taking away pain’ and start being… you know… a full blown make out session?" he continued, the embarrassment in his voice palpable, making him immediately finish the thought in one panicked rush: “Because I don’t know if I’m just reading too much into something that isn’t really there.”

After Monroe disappeared, Liam Dunbar only wanted a few things: to finish high school, control his anger, and maybe even get into the same college as Scott, or follow Mason and Corey around like an adopted son. But nothing is rosy; what was supposed to be just another boring night of (secret) patrol turns into a nightmare when they are cornered by hunters inside a cave. Total darkness. Tiny space. Knees and thighs and breaths mingling. And, to Liam's complete despair, an erection that insists on appearing at the worst possible moment. Now he has to figure out how to survive Theo, the hunters, and his own feelings — not necessarily in that order.

Liam’s pulse kicked up. His skin felt too warm, too tight, like the air around him had thickened. He hated how exposed he felt under Theo’s gaze, like the man was reading him with ease, pulling apart things Liam didn’t want anyone touching.
Theo’s smirk returned, slow and knowing.
“Relax,” he said softly. “I’m not here to bite.”
A beat.
“Not unless you want me to.”
Slowly, a knowing smile spread across Theo’s lips, deliberate, confident, inviting.

Summary
The moment Liam flicks the lighter on and touches it to the roughly shaved area where the entrance wound lies, Theo can’t seem to help the tiniest flinch. He can hear the strain of Theo’s teeth as they grind together, almost crack from the pressure. His breathing is ragged, his heartbeat barely wrangled down to normal.
“I know, Teddy, I know, just hang on for a couple more seconds,” Liam chants under his breath.
He’s been holding his breath without realizing it. The stench of burning flesh, too fresh to even trick his mind into recalling the scent of meat on a grill, would have his stomach in knots if he were inhaling any air. A distant part of Liam’s brain, though, recognizes grimly that the only thing Theo can do at this point is to breathe through the pain, and he’s tired of wondering how well acquainted his boyfriend (not boyfriend?) has been since age nine with the smell of bodies burning and rotting.

Summary
Set at the end of season 6B.
Theo keeps saving Liam, much to his own frustration and Liam's surprise, but this time he goes so far that neither of them can simply pretend there isn't more to it any longer. Theo is happy with the way things are and doesn't think he really deserves any better, but Liam is confused and needs to know why Theo is always helping him, even if his arrogant smirk makes him want to kill the asshole.
Canon divergence - Liam gets shot at the hospital and Theo takes his pain. Gabe lives.
