Note: not all of these will be canon compliant, sometimes for the sake of the joke or the story. In some cases they'll lean heavily on in-character knowledge (i.e. the characters will state an incorrect thing to be true because they believe they are being truthful) or on places where the details of the setting are unclear or contradictory, while in others I'll just be doing what's funny.

The usual way to tell a time loop story is from the perspective of the looper as they figure things out and solve the world.
This story doesn't do that. This story is from the perspective of one of the bystanders, as their friend acts with wild and uncomfortable chaos. We never see what actually solves the loop. And that works for this story.

Even if Batman works alone. She’s convincing.

A clever portal fantasy within the world of Worm fantasy – Sophia Hess is thrown from Brockton Bay into a world where the capes of canon Worm are gods in pantheons, and is drawn into a war there.
The main protagonist, Miriam, is a delight – noble and compassionate and brave and selfless – and the way Sophia changes as she spends time in this new world are cool to see. The religions of the setting are fascinating reinterpretations of the casts of Worm and Ward, with strange and delightful details. And the battles! The fight scenes and battle scenes both are terrific – clear and comprehensible, but also dramatic and tense.
It's good. We like it.

Summary
Changing universes, getting superpowers, and merging mind and soul with a homeless orphan child isn't terribly dramatic or difficult. The parts before that really aren't all that much worse. Unfortunately, that's only the beginning for poor, unfortunate, Jacqueline Colere. Being small and adorable is a pretty good superpower, as is being mostly capable of making good decisions. And healing powers are pretty great, even if they’re also pretty useless in a fight. She even has good people skills (sorta) and surprisingly good knowledge, maturity and planning ability for a fourteen year old.
Now if only the universe she’d arrived in wasn’t a horrible, horrible mess in all sorts of ways, and maybe if she’d actually so much as heard of the story she’d supposedly been shoved into, things would be great.
Well, in comparison to her current situation, anyway. By this point, she'd take it.

A really unusual take on a Worm self-insert, in that it stars a protagonist who doesn't know the plot of Worm and rocks the status quo by a mixture of accident and being a kind and considerate person able to offer friendship and emotional support to all and sundry.
Also, weirdly, an unusual take on a Worm fanfic, in that trauma is not a casual assumption in the form of awful events happening to characters, but is a present force in characters' lives in the form of nightmares, crying jags, and other emotional breakdowns.
It's a neat story. And we really like the protagonist, both as a character and as a narrator.

Or: A story where Madison Clements becomes a Hero, mostly accidentally kidnaps at least three people at various points along the way, gives Armsmaster a headache, Coil a migraine and Taylor Hebert the most confusing morning of her life. The fact that these were all technically the ideas of Madison's power very much does not make things better in Lisa Wilbourn's opinion.
