When Richie looks at Eddie Kaspbrak face-to-face for the first time since his rather untimely death, the first thing Richie feels is a very brief – just for a moment, a snippet in time, probably not even noteworthy – sense of apprehension.
It’s undeniably Eddie; he’s dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a white shirt, both far much more dirty and stained than Richie knows Eddie would ever allow his clothes to be, and it hits Richie that those are the clothes he had on when he died, fuck, has it really been that long, eds? It’s Eddie, of course it’s Eddie, but-
When Eddie meets Richie’s eyes, Richie feels a chill go up the back of his neck, despite how much he doesn't want to: Eddie’s brown eyes are faded, a little milky in color. Gray around the edge of his iris’, like-
Like a corpse, Richie thinks before he can stop himself.

“But you… You didn’t forget, too?” Eddie asked.
“No, no,” Richie said, shaking his head. “It’s not the same as before. The rest of us—we all remember. It’s over.”
“Then, why…?” Eddie trailed off, and watched as Richie seemed to debate with himself on what to say next. His gaze flicked back and forth between Eddie’s eyes and he bit his lip. He squeezed Eddie’s hands before he spoke.
“You got hurt, Eds,” Richie finally said, and his voice cracked on Eddie’s name. Eddie’s breathing began to pick up again as Richie spoke. “It was bad. But you’re okay now, I promise. You just have to remember, now.”
(Eddie wakes up with gaps in his memory, Post-Chapter 2. But something isn't right.)

Summary
Post-IT Chapter Two where everything is the same, but Eddie and Stan have children pre-Derry reunion (no sterile subplot!); Eddie divorces Myra shortly after coming home from Derry, and Richie - despite not having much experience with kids - jumps headfirst into becoming the stepfather of Eddie and Myra's son, Frankie.
Meanwhile, Frankie Kaspbrak navigates the ever complex and confusing reality of being a child stuck in the middle of a hostile divorce, with a mother who he knows loves him but cannot forgive his father for divorcing her, a father who Frankie loves and wants to protect more than anything, and a new stepfather who Frankie thinks is the coolest person he's ever met on the planet. Of a brand new set of aunts and uncles and cousins who immediately become the family that Frankie (and Eddie) have always wanted.
As Frankie begins to grow up, though, memories from his childhood - long buried and forgotten - begin to surface slowly: of nightmares he'd wake up from, confused and lost. As Frankie enters his teenage years, he begins to wonder if these really were random childhood adventures, or if everything in his life has been following a familiar path - one that his father is terrified of reliving.

Derry is no ordinary town, but the thing in the yard looks like it’s stepped out of an old Hammer film. It’s not a dog or a coyote or even a wolf. It’s a creature, the broad span of its shoulders and strangely elongated limbs almost human. It rises up on its hind legs and walks across the yard, climbing up to the front door.
The lock rattles in its socket and Eddie runs into the kitchen, fumbling for the phone receiver. Should he call 911? Animal control? Maybe the nearest zoo?
Or: Eddie finds out that his boyfriend is a werewolf.
