Summary
When a surprise attack leaves Alastor dying and only Lucifer around for immediate intervention, it’s all on Lucifer to save his (stupid complicated sexy) rival. In the aftermath of the attack, they’ll need to find the unknown assailant before the next strike – while also saving Alastor before he succumbs to what he’s been hiding.
All these unexpected new pieces spell out more troubles and questions than answers for Lucifer, and there’s little he loathes more than complications. If he needs to force Alastor or the assassin into revealing the truth, he’ll do it through whatever means necessary. At least, those are his intentions, and nothing can unravel them, right?

It's actually quite fascinating.Lucifer should have told him he used to love deer. Found them interesting.
Alastor should have told Lucifer he used to feed the ducks when he was alive.But now that everything is falling apart, now that Alastor knows there's much more in existence to lose than power, now that Lucifer has lost everything, now they may never get to tell each other how much they mean to one another.
