Laura had had plenty of morning afters in her 27 years of life but waking up with her tits out, alone, on a table in Le Coq Noir is by far the strangest and most memorable. As she sits up she begins to button up her top and try to piece the whole strange night back together. She knew that she hadn't been drunk or high the night before but every part of the previous night is muddled by what she guesses is a magic-related fog, even though 2 weeks ago she hadn't believed in magic...or gods for that matter. She's still not sure about it all but she's definitely much more inclined to be open-minded since a leprechaun's lucky coin started being the only thing keeping her alive. -

Mad Sweeney’s story has deep deep roots but most people aren’t aware of just how deep. The Valkyrie, Rota, has been there since long before any of the other old gods crossed paths with the would be leprechaun (Grimnir excluded) and after Sweeney’s fatal confrontation with Grimnir and Shadow it’s her job to collect his soul. She doesn’t expect all the emotions this brings up for her.

“Watch who you’re calling a boy,” the whore said with a lopsided smile. Geralt looked closer at him.
No, not a boy, but he looked very young and it was difficult to determine his age. He was dark-haired and tall — about as tall as the witcher — but he was trying to make himself seem smaller, looking up at Geralt through his eyelashes.
They were pretty eyelashes, and pretty blue eyes.

From the moment Jaskier approached his table, he's always smelled thick and heady with arousal-- part of being eighteen, Geralt supposed. He used to stay in a dark corner of a sad tavern and drink to distract himself while the Jaskier finished his songs, plopped down at the table across from him and pouted, then turned his most lovelorn look at a pretty maid. Geralt drank deep as Jaskier whispered sweet nothings and soft, dark promises to her, felt the heat grow in the room as the blush rose in them both and they fumbled away. By the time he could hear Jaskier coming-- panting, hot and fast-- he usually found the shattered remains of his tankard in his fist.
Geralt can hear all of Jaskier's amorous encounters... and finds he can't bring himself to stay out of earshot.
