Summary
Samuel kept a watchful eye on Lord Capon of Pirkstein and Rattay. It became a sort of morbid fascination to him. A heartbreak so potent it permeated the walls, stuck to door handles and suffocated the air. The thick cloud of hurt that surrounded him was a poison that found its way to Sam's old wounds, reopening them, infecting them. As Capon sank lower, Sam was being pulled down with him. He knew all about the sin festering under Capon's skin. The pain the infection caused. He knew what he had to do. A wound like this needed to be cut open to let the pus out. Cleaned out, no matter the agony. Closed with fire if it had to be. Sam was willing to do whatever it took.

Summary
Five times Henry found himself flat on his back beneath Hans Capon. Each time, it meant something different. Be it the dust of a sparring ring, the clumsy tangle of a drunken stumble, the desperate grip in a medic's tent, the exhausted quiet after a siege, or the sacred, stolen peace of a shared bed. Each time, he grew to realize it was the only place he ever wanted to be.

Summary
Sneaking with a horse out of the Trosky proved a challenge. One cannot simply explain to a horse to breathe quietly. The soft snorts soon roused the guards, and Henry could only grip his sword as he prepared to try and fight his way out.
"There he is!" A guard holding a torch exclaimed as soon as he appeared in the stable doors. More soldiers pooled around the doors, cornering the intruder.
"So what do we have here?" A familiar, gruff voice carried through the corridor like a bell toll. Henry remembered it as a saving grace, once, as his Lord's neck had a noose hanging around it. Captain Thomas walked into the stables, step sure, armour gleaming, presence larger than life. His soldiers dutifully stood up straight and nodded towards their commander as he entered.
"This one has been sneaking into the stables," one of the soldiers reported, reaching for Henry to drag him forward. Henry went willingly, letting a different guard tear the sword out of his hands. A gleaming light flickered in Thomas' eyes.
"Isn't it Lord Capon's page?" one of the soldiers squinted.
"Let's see if that's true," the Captain murmured.

Summary

He gets dressed swiftly, while Soap turns around onto his front so he can bury his head in the pillow. A tactic he has used too many times to count now, so that he would not have to see the other man leave and feel his heart squeeze only a little bit as he does so.
Some days it feels like Ghost is taking his heart with him, carrying it between those hands that hold him down. As the door closes with a quiet click sound and the door handle moves to its original position again, Soap immediately knows that today is one of those days as the tears spring back into his eyes.
or: Ghost only realises how much he is continously hurting Soap after weeks of being with each other. It takes Ghost almost losing Johnny to learn how he should have treated the Beta all along, he does so with a little help of the other Sergeant on their team.

Summary
