Why you did all those things—for me. But I know that, if you hadn’t, I’d be dead. One way or another. So for that, for the very reasons I hate you . . .’ He paused. Summary
What about combining Pride and Prejudice with the story of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson?
The action of this short story (or is it already a mini-novel?) takes place before the adventures described by Arthur Conan Doyle begin, before Holmes and Watson took up residence in Baker Street. It is set in more or less Victorian times, that is, I have tried to include the realities of the era described, drawing on relevant sources. The text is loosely inspired by Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' - enough so that you will recognise the characters and plots without hesitation, but they are merely a reference point for my own stories. It is undoubtedly a romance and as such is governed by its own rules, but in keeping with the spirit of the Holmes stories, films and series, it also contains mysteries (some even criminal). I hope you will have fun finding their solutions to the characters.
