I wake up with a headache so bad I briefly consider death as a viable option, only to realize I am not in my apartment, in a suspiciously expensive bed, and completely naked.
Which is already concerning. What’s more concerning is the sound next to me.I turn my head.
There is a woman.
Also naked.We stare at each other like two people who have been placed in the wrong save file.
Neither of us remembers how we got here.When she asks if I know who she is.
I say no.
She says “good,” which is objectively the worst possible response, because apparently she also has no idea who I am.So just to recap: unknown location, unknown woman, zero memories, maximum problems.

Summary
Byleth Eisner lived her life as something less than human; an emotionless Ashen Demon, until a chance encounter awakened the humanity that slumbered within her.
This story is a novelization of the events of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, following the Crimson Flower story but using events from the other stories, Cindered Shadows included, to tell the full story of the game. Think of it as "complete" story, not a golden story, and don't come in expecting every character to make it out alive.
There's a heavy emphasis on character-building moments and the slow growth of the Black Eagles and their allies, and I do my best to avoid simple direct portrayals of in-game cutscenes after the first few chapters. The pace is slow but steady, and I keep a strict upload pace of one chapter every other week.

There’s a flash and the world seems to spin on its axis. The candle at her feet is blown out by a strong gust of wind. And as Byleth recovers from the initial shock, she practically falls over when something even more insane registers before her.
It’s the Emperor, on her knees, breathing heavy and body battle worn. Just like she looked when…
Through her heavy breaths, Edelgard pants, “There you go again…my teacher… Hesitating…”
She looks up, finally, to see a completely different Byleth standing before her. No Sword of the Creator, shorter, styled hair, strange-looking clothes. And completely dumbfounded.
“Professor… What’s going on?”
