Summary
The MLH has figured out yet another way to keep fan-favorite rivals Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander on opposing teams for All-Star Weekend, but Ilya feels especially "outraged" when he realizes he's also being forced to play against his own rookie, Luca Haas.
And don't even get Ilya started on having to watch Haas play under opposing team captain Scott Hunter.

It is the 75th year of the Hunger Games and the 3rd Quarter Quell.
After the stunt that two tributes from District 4 pulled in the last games, President Kronos punishes the districts by making this year's games a "free for all" where anyone, including past tributes, from the ages of 8 to 80 can be reaped.
However, District 12 still has a volunteer. Fifteen year old Nico di Angelo volunteered for his older sister, Bianca, and is going into an arena with older and experienced fighters that could kill him within seconds.
He is not alone, though, as Will Solace is chosen for the games as well.

The 75th Annual Hunger Games were already going to be difficult for Ian Hecox, District 12's first victor. The worry of who he would have to mentor ate him up. However, when President Snow announced that the reaping would be open to the entire district - children, adults, the elderly, and even victors - Ian had new things to worry about.
