Nancy was moving before she knew what she was doing, her eyes firm in the way Mike turned to look at Will, the way Will was crying freely and Jonathan was keeping him where he stood, his hand on Will’s mouth.
Nancy would be grateful to the other people who were moving out of her way, but her mind is whirling. Jonathan was keeping Will still and quiet, as if afraid… Nancy followed Mike, who turned to her with a pale face and terrified eyes and she grabbed him, pushing him behind her.

The games are back 10 years after the 101st Hunger Games. Panem was in the middle of an economic collapse when Mavis Thorsen took office as president. She was voted in because she claimed to have a plan to bring Panem out of its economic collapse by looking at the country's past. Her vice president Tritico Arroyo and her secretary Novem Acidinus spent the first months of their time in their position just looking for a plan to make the country money. What they found was that The Hunger Games made money. They agreed they would only do the games for 10 years to get the country out of the hole. Will they keep this promise?
How will this new generation of Panem fair in the games? Will Districts 1 and 2 stay the top Districts? Will the outlying districts finally get the spotlight? How will the new generation of victors cope with their wins?
