Summary
Trinity College chemistry student Hermione Granger has been going to the same coffee shop every Thursday for four months.
It's close to home.
The coffee is excellent.
And the barista — messy black hair, green eyes, tattoos — has a tongue piercing that has led to some very unsatisfying "independent research" in the privacy of her own bedroom.He remembers her order and notices when she’s had a bad day with Snape— or a good one with anyone who isn't Snape. But her hypothesis that he's interested in anything other than providing excellent customer service is a largely unsupported conclusion.
Until, that is, the hottest day of the year when all the data is pointing in one very clear direction. And Hermione finds that the hotter than the weather— or the coffee at Leaky Grounds — is what happens when she and Harry Potter conduct their own experiments.

Summary
Six years after an eighth year none of them examined too closely, Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy are rather obnoxiously involved.
Harry Potter and Hermione Granger are still just best friends and colleagues who share lunch, memorise each other's habits, and don't talk about it.
Hermione and Draco are ex-lovers who are friends- sort of. And Ginny and Harry are fine.
Everything's fine.
Then Ginny refuses to stop talking about Draco's signet ring and reveals a very compelling piece of information about Harry's...well... piece and Hermione has a dream and Draco has a word with Harry, and an evening at the wizarding opera — turns into something else entirely.

Summary
Hermione Granger has always hated the phrase life carries on especially in middle of World War II Britain in the tiny village of Ecclesbourne where her library helps hold together a population inundated by grief.
Then, on Whit Monday, 1942, Squadron Leader Roger Davies arrives in Ecclesbourne to inform Hermione Granger that the Air Ministry requires her library.
She gives him the building. Barely.
Flight Lieutenant Harry Potter takes up residence at the reference desk. He has a cane, a library card he consistently fails to use, and a copy of A Tale of Two Cities he is technically stealing.
The village of Ecclesbourne has opinions about the RAF. The RAF has opinions about the village. The war continues with no particular regard for either.
And meanwhile, Hermione is learning, in a requisitioned library in a village holding her grief and that of others, that carrying on is not evasion.
And in fact, it may be the whole point.
