Draco found he was quickly growing bored of tediously extracting information from his parents. He raised a brow and asked, "Pray tell, who has the honors of falling in love with me just so I can murder them?"
"Hermione. Hermione Granger."

It’s body covered in beautiful scales and lusciously soft fur? Reaching out, she realized her own outward appearance was similar. So we are the same then? Ah… ok. What are we then? She really didn’t know. She couldn’t remember who or what she was, anymore than how they’d gotten to this place, or where this was. She inhaled. The other being was female though, like her… somehow she sensed that by their blood? Their… something within them? A tingling sensation throughout her felt calming. Almost like magic. She wasn’t as frightened. Strange… for a moment, caramel eyes met deep hazel. An understanding. Before they were interrupted by a loud voice, “good you’re both awake! Training can begin… buyers prefer their pets fully trained before the auction and you both are way behind the others. I’ve got my work cut out for me!” His raspy chuckle offered nothing familiar. She was sure he wasn’t from before somehow. The other being seemed to feel the same. It was as if they could communicate so easily already with a look, a flicker. -

Ever since Hermione Granger narrowly escaped death at Malfoy Manor, she had vowed to stay as far away from the Malfoy family as possible. She couldn’t stand the fact that while she was laying on the ground being tortured by someone who shared their blood, the Malfoys did absolutely nothing to stop it.
But as Hermione stood in front of the recently appointed Minister for Magic, she knew that the vow she made to herself 2 years ago wouldn’t be withheld. She wasn’t going to argue about the mission she had just been assigned, no matter how much she despised the fact that she had to do it. Arguing was not a good idea if she wanted to keep her job as an Unspeakable.
As the mission goes on, Hermione starts to feel things toward Draco she had never felt before. A very foreign feeling.
