    I, like many of you, have been watching What If...Season 2. After watching episode 2, that takes place in 1988, I found myself disturbed. I’ve always suspected, but never really had it confirmed until that episode. When the Winter Soldier comes off the plane, we first see him in his uniform and mask, Howard and Peggy have a brief conversation in which they confirmed the rumors that it was Bucky. They knew. I guess I thought that there was no way that my thinking could be truth, yet, there it was, on screen, and my heart broke. They knew what had happened and they did nothing. That got me thinking about Steve coming out of the ice and Bucky being there. Then, I started thinking about what if Bucky let it slip that they’d known? What would Steve’s reaction be to that information? So, here we go, into the dark recesses of my brain.

    Omega Steve is given the serum. They think it will make him bigger and an alpha. He comes out of the machine still small and still an omega, but with all the strength and other enhancements the serum was supposed to give him. He still saves Bucky from the factory and Bucky does what he's always wanted and claims Steve. Steve's always wanted that too.
    When Hydra tries to jump start his heat, it doesn't work out the way they think it will.
