' you.. wish to court me. ' it wasn't phrased as a question, just L repeating back what Light said to him a few seconds ago. And light asks why he suspects this is a mere facade.
' yes. ' Light says with such seriousness it makes L gape at the delirious man that's infront of him.
Or: Light yagami tries to marry L in order to take his name and find out said name! but L isn't so sure about lights true commitment so he basically puts light through hell by bringing over his successors.

Between Near's case of stolen blueprints, a previous employee of the Misa Misa entertainment studio caught sneaking around making ritualistic sacrifices and a shady arms dealer case investigated by Matt, all seemingly connected and contributing to a bigger picture with a recurring common factor, Light.
Will Light recover his memories and reclaim his past? Will he be able to survive living with his arch nemesis and his three unbearable successors? Will he have a peaceful ending or is there still more shots to be fired?...
