    Once the glow of the cottage fades and the boys have to head back to the real world, they have to start the long difficult year being separated before Ilya signs with Ottawa. Or at least that was the plan, until Ilya opened his mouth and accidentally got himself traded to Montreal. But it’s fine, just one year for Ilya in Montreal and then their 10 year plan is back on track… Right?

    Through their year on the same team, Ilya helps Shane come to terms with the fact that his team kinda sucks, Hayden gets chirped into oblivion but still realizes that maybe Ilya Rozanov isn’t nearly as bad of a guy as he thought, and Hollanov come to terms with a new question they didn’t expect to ask.

    Now that they’ve gotten a taste of living together and being on the same team, how are they ever going to give it up?

    "It's a little—" Shane looked at his wine glass, his face flushing. "It might be a little weird."

    "Now I need to know."

    'It's not bad-weird. It's just—" Shane exhaled. "You technically…you did set me up. A couple of times. You just didn't know what you were doing."

    Shane and Ilya are still hosting J.J. after a dinner party when J.J. bemoans his wasted efforts in trying to find Shane a man. Shane fills J.J. in on some of his encounters while Ilya watches them from the kitchen. Things spiral.

    The first time it happens, it's an accident. And really, even if he hadn't caught it, it wouldn't be his fault if someone decided to post it on the internet.
    But the more he thinks about it, a plan forms. If he can prove that Rozanov will leave when things get hard, or once Shane is no longer his dangerous and forbidden secret...
    It'll be like ripping of a bandaid for Shane, something he doesn't want to do, but needs to be done. So Hayden will do it for him, temporary pain, but necessary.
    Shane will thank him later.

    Wearing a random Spider-Man costume J.J. gave him, he goes to the address given to him.

    Little does he know, he’ll get more than friendly with J.J. Boiziau, whose dressed up as the Human Torch.

    “Shane I’m not,” J.J. began, tone a soft and comforting thing. “I’m not exactly upset here…I mean, Shane you’re an attractive guy, look at you. But it is a surprise seeing you here—and having your lips on mine—” J.J. put his hands up and chuckled, “Not that I didn’t want it. Seriously.”

    Shane felt his heart stop. What exactly was happening?

    J.J. placed a hand on Shane’s thigh, sending shivers throughout his body, and continued, “I really liked it…seriously,” He gave a shy smile, rubbing his head with his other hand. “I like you—I just didn’t expect you to be like me.”
