Chapter Text
Dazai snorted as Orpheus came streaking into the living room. //Your daughter and sisters are evil, Dazai!!//
The fox had ribbons trailing from his neck, clips in the fur around his ears, and bracelets around his paws. "What happened Orpheus?" Dazai lifted his fox into his lap and began to help Orpheus out of everything.
//I was ambushed!! Your daughter and sisters decided I needed to be prettier. You'd never guess Elise is eleven, while Kyouka's ten with Gin being nine. Not with the ferocity they attacked me with!//
Dazai bit back a snicker and felt his consort looking through his eyes upon feeling his amusement. /Did the girls seriously catch your fox?/
/It appears they did. I wonder what he did to catch their eye. I probably need to have a talk with all of them. They have Belari, Diederik, and Gratia to play with. They don’t need to be tormenting Orpheus when he so clearly doesn’t want to play with them. Ademir and Hiromasa would be more willing than Orpheus to tolerate the girls dressing them up./
Chuuya snorted. /Yeah, because Ademir is used to having Elise clambering all over him and making him into a pretty princess. Hiromasa is just a big push over who will do anything for Elise./
Dazai rolled his eyes fondly as he worked the hair clips out of Orpheus' fur. /Oh please, you think it's adorable and hilarious. The time Hiromasa walked in with a tutu on you nearly lost it. You revel in their misery, and you enjoy the girls being so happy and proud of themselves./
Chuuya pouted playfully. /You make me out to be a big softy./
A small smile spread on Dazai’s lips. /That's because you are. Arahabaki, esteemed God of Destruction, is really just a big softy./
Chuuya tried hard not to laugh at her consort’s teasing. /Niki's going to stab me with his sewing needle if I laugh and mess him up. Are you trying yo get me mutilated, mackerel? And here I thought you loved me./
Dazai smiled fondly. /I love you very much, my darling. It's not my fault you decided to go get fitted for new dresses. I'm sure you'll look stunning./
Chuuya hummed happily. /I do look stunning, thank you very much. Maybe if you're lucky I'll show you when I get home./
Dazai held back a groan. /You really are a wicked minx. You can't keep teasing me with your female form and never showing me. You're driving me crazy, Chuuya. It's been years!/
Chuuya didn't hold back the smugness she felt, letting it travel down their bond. /I've been waiting until I thought you could handle it, and then I liked teasing you with it too much. Now you have to earn it, especially if you want to see me in one of these dresses./
Dazai pouted at his consort’s cruelty. /What can I do to earn it, evil slug?/
Chuuya snorted. /Calling me an evil slug definitely isn't a way to earn it. Maybe start by telling me how much you love and adore me?/ She suggested sweetly, enjoying Dazai’s feelings of fond annoyance.
Dazai smiled sweetly. /Chuuya, love of my life, my consort, my other half. I absolutely adore you. I've adored you since our second meeting when you shoved a smartphone at me with claims that my flip phone got broken during your torturing of the two thugs that hurt me./
Chuuya growled faintly at the reminder of their first meeting, ignoring her brother threatening to jab a pin in her side. /They got what they deserved for touching you. I do like that you're claiming to have adored me since our second meeting. That's a good start. Keep going./
Dazai laughed as he continued removing ribbons and clips from his companion. /I adore the way you're such an amazing parent to our children and have been since the day you met them. I couldn't imagine a better person to raise my children with than you./
Chuuya flushed at the praise to her parenting skills, shifting before yelping as Nikolai jabbed a pin into her side. "What the hell, Niki!! What was that for?" She demanded hotly.
Nikolai looked at his sister with a perfectly calm face. "ChuChu, you're fidgeting even more than usual for you. If you're just going to taunt and flirt with Zai, come back when you have it out of your system."
Sigma smirked. "She can't get it out of her system anymore than you can, Niki. You two are hopeless and always rolling in lust. The only good thing is we're back in the Heavenly Realm and you two are better at suppressing it. What had you snickering earlier, little sister?"
Chuuya grinned, blue eyes dancing with mirth. "The girls got a hold of Orpheus and gave him the tea party treatment."
Sigma winced, his face showing clear sympathy. "Ah, poor guy. That's always got to be rough, especially when he can't just pick them up and deposit them in another room anymore so they leave him alone."
Nikolai tapped his chin thought. "Did they put him in a tutu?"
Chuuya shook her head. "No, they didn't. I think I would have been summoned home to treat scratches if that had been the case. He'll only let them go so far."
Nikolai pouted. "Bummer. Orpheus would look so cute in a tutu with his fluffy tail!"
Sigma reached over to flick his brother's forehead. "This is why you don't have a companion. You'd torture them by making them play dress up."
Nikolai swatted at Sigma's hand. "Why would I need a companion for that when I have you two and Dos-kun who I can force to play dress up?" He teased.
Chuuya rolled her eyes fondly. "I usually like any outfits you want me to try on. I love everything you've made Osamu and the kids. So is it really forcing?"
Nikolai nodded his head. "Yes! Because you get grumpy when we drag you away from Zai," he teased.
Chuuya scowled at her brother. "It's only been three years since he and the kids ascended, can you blame me?"
Sigma smiled at his sister. "No one blames you, Chuuya. That's not very long at all, especially as everyone keeps invading. Are you going to let Dazai see your female form as his gift?"
Chuuya frowned. "Gift, what gift? Spill, Sigma! What do you know about Osamu that I don't!?" She demanded, eyes flashing an icy blue.
Sigma laughed. "Fine, Dazai was probably going to tell you, but the date has been set for his official adoption by Fukuzawa and Mori. The blood adoption and ceremony will be this weekend. Apparently even Kifu and Althea will be coming with baby Aislin."
Chuuya groaned playfully. "Great, I'll never peel my consort away."
Sigma stared pointedly at his little sister. "You two, and Dazai are all bad about being dragged away from Aislin when Kifu and Althea bring her by. Don't act like you and Dazai don't have your future babies all planned out. I bet you've even named them, haven't you?"
Chuuya puffed out her cheeks and looked away. "We haven't named them yet. We wanted to wait until the babies were actually on the way for that. I won't lie, we do have a few ideas."
Sigma shook his head in amusement. "And you have what, two, three years until you can even start having kids thanks to your promise to Ryu?"
Chuuya nodded. "Yeah, about two and a half years at this point. That's why I want to adore Aislin as much as I can because it's so long before I can have a baby."
Nikolai shrugged his shoulders. "I just think she has an adorable little face and looks especially cute in the clothes I make her."
Sigma and Chuuya exchanged a glance. "You think she's cute?" Sigma asked tentatively.
Nikolai tilted his head. "Yeah, I just said that. What's with that look?"
Chuuya shrugged her shoulders. "Nothing, it's just that I don't think you've ever called a baby cute before. Not even Kyouka."
Nikolai puffed out his cheeks. "Well, I'm older now. I can acknowledge that some babies are cute and that they're not all Third Realm terrors."
Sigma snickered. "It took everyone forever to convince you that Kyo wasn't going to suddenly change into a demon and eat you during the night."
Nikolai flushed at the reminder of what he used to think babies did. "I've gotten better! I like to think ChuChu's three have helped with that. Elise and Kyo, too, of course."
Chuuya preened at the reminder of her kids. "My brats are pretty great," she agreed.
Sigma smirked. "Yes, they're completely spoiled rotten. Most of it by their doting papa."
Chuuya huffed as she stuck her tongue out while Nikolai went back to pinning the dress. "I'm not about to let anyone else spoil them rotten. I suppose if Osamu's ceremony is this weekend, then he and I will need to pin down a time to have the ceremony for our brats."
/Osamu, sweetheart, why wasn't I told your adoption ceremony was this weekend? I had to find out from Sigma!!!/
Dazai laughed softly as he stroked Orpheus' fur. /I have mentioned it, chibi. It's not my fault slugs don't have a good attention span. In fact, I reminded you this morning./
Chuuya pouted. /No, you didn't. I would remember that. Anyway, if there's been a date set for your ceremony, we probably need to go back over what that entails with our three and set a date for us to do a blood adoption with them./
/I think that sounds like a good idea. Orpheus and I will be in my studio when you get back. I have a portrait I'm trying to get finished. You know how hard it is to keep Elie from sneaking around. I can't very well give her a birthday gift if she's already seen it./
Chuuya laughed softly. /The one of her, Kyo, Diederik, and Gratia you've been working on?/
Dazai hummed happily as he stood up with Orpheus in his arms. /That's the one. Luckily the house and the castle keep little eyes from peeking into my studio without my knowing./
Chuuya had built him a house up in the mountains with a view of the waterfall in the pocket dimension where Shirasae and Yuan had been laid to rest. It was modeled after his dream house on the bluffs of Yokohama with three stories, a couple of gyms for Chuuya and the kids, a silks gym for him, a music room, and a studio. Unlike the castle, the rooms didn't move around as much, and the playroom for the kids was a little smaller, but in turn they had a treehouse and could roam anywhere in the dimension, just so long as Dazai or Chuuya knew they were going. Lark kept an eye on them, and the kids loved the freedom they got here.
/I'll be home soon enough. Are Kyo and Elise spending the night?/
/No, dad said Rimbaud would come get them later and would let me know if that changed. I think Sano and Kouyou are taking Kyo out tonight. A sort of mini-celebration for how well Kyo did on that test she was worried about. Your dads are taking her to do something tomorrow, I think./
Chuuya pulled a face at the reminder of her consort’s sister and her mother's consort. She refused to call Yosano her step-mom or sister-in-law if she could help it. /Joy./
Dazai snickered as he settled Orpheus down in his basket in the studio, opening the window so Olethros could join them if he so desired. /It's been three years, my darling. She makes your mom happy and your sister loves her, too./
Chuuya pouted at the reminder of how easily Yosano won her little sister over. /Don't remind me! I'm trying to forget both of those details. Changing the subject now. Kifu and Althea are supposed to be bringing Aislin to your ceremony./
Dazai gently scratched Orpheus behind his ears before getting settled to start painting. /I can't wait to see Aislin again. She's growing like a weed. I think she's definitely going to have her mother's build, but her father's height. I'll see you when you get home, chibi. It's not nice to ignore your brothers. They've been trying to get your attention,/ he teased before sending his love down their bond and cutting the conversation off.
Chuuya huffed in annoyance at the conversation getting cut off. /Love you too, shitty mackerel bastard./ She complained. Just because she could feel the love didn't mean she didn't want to hear it.
Dazai sighed fondly before replying, knowing his consort would continue to sulk over this if he didn't. /You know I love you very much, my darling./
Chuuya puffed out her cheeks. /You could at least say it. It's nice to hear./
Dazai smiled softly. /I was just trying to get your attention back on Niki and Sigma before your brother decides to stab you with a pin again. I love you, Chuuya./
Chuuya hummed happily at getting Dazai to say it. /I love you too! Have fun painting./
Sigma rolled his eyes. "It's about time you came back to us. What's the point of us hanging out if you're going to spend the whole time talking to Dazai?"
"Yeah! We want ChuChu's attention too!" Nikolai whined playfully, knowing fully well that he was guilty of getting distracted talking to Fyodor while with his siblings.
Chuuya pointed at her brother. "You have absolutely no room to talk."
Nikolai stuck his tongue out. "I will stab you again, ChuChu." He threatened.
Sigma shook his head. "If you stab her again she'll just use it as an excuse to run off and have Dazai kiss it better. She's been dying for an excuse to show him her female form. We probably won't see them until the ceremony this weekend once she goes home."
Chuuya pouted. "I wish I had known about the stupid ceremony earlier. I would have definitely done this earlier. Those old men are just trying to cut into my Osamu time."
Sigma shook his head, snickering alongside Nikolai. "Oh please, anytime would have been a bad time. Once you and Dazai get to fucking, you resent anything and anyone besides your kids interrupting you."
Chuuya puffed out her cheeks. "It has nothing to do with interrupting us fucking. I don't even know if Osamu and I will fuck while I'm in female form. However, I do know he'll swoon and pamper me with affection, and I don't want his stupid parents cutting into that with the fucking ceremony. I could have planned this differently."
Sigma rolled his eyes. "Oh please. Quit lying to yourself and us. There is no planning involved in any of this. It's impulsive. The only thing keeping you from doing this after the ceremony is the promise of Dazai’s undivided attention and awe so close. You've already committed."
Before Chuuya could refute, Nikolai interrupted. "Yeah yeah yeah, whatever. You don't want to share, blah blah, it's the story of every consort's life. What I'm interested in is why you don't know if you and Zai will fuck. You're super hot in female form, and in this dress you look even better! Why would your own consort not want to do the dirty?"
Chuuya wrinkled her nose at the phrasing. "Don't ever call it 'the dirty' again."
Nikolai grinned mischievously. "What would you rather me call it? The Devil's Tango? The Horizontal wiggle? Bumping uglies?"
Sigma gagged. "Please stop."
Nikolai snickered. "Should I be more formal for you, Siggy? Consummating the union? Christening the bed? Having good ol' fashion sexual intercourse?"
Sigma slapped a hand over Nikolai's mouth, shutting him up. "So help me, Niki, if you don't knock it off I will shove one of your rolls of fabric so far down your throat it comes out of your ass."
Nikolai wiggled free with a grin. "Kinky."
Chuuya pinched the bridge of her nose. "Knock it off, both of you! Holy fuck! I feel like I'm at home dealing with Atsushi and Ryu. I don't know if Osamu and I will have sex or not because I wouldn't be fucking him in this form. I mean, I could, but I don't really feel a desire to get a strap on and do that. I prefer to be fucked in this form, and I don't know if he'll be into fucking me. We've never switched roles like that."
Nikolai's jaw dropped. "... What!? It's been how many years and you, Chuuya Nakahara, haven't been fucked by your consort!? You're a switch! You always have been! No ass is good enough to never take it up the ass again!"
Sigma groaned and pressed his hands over his ears. "I'm not listening to this."
Chuuya shrugged her shoulders. "Its just never come up. He's finally comfortable with sex, and I don't want to bring up changing things and ruin that or make him feel like he's been depriving me of something or that I don't like the sex we're having. Of course I'm interested in switching, but I don't want to force the idea or make him uncomfortable."
Nikolai crossed his arms. "Bringing it up isn't forcing it, Chuuya." He said seriously, pulling Sigma's hands from his ears.
Chuuya sighed. "I know, but you know how he is. He'll overthink himself into oblivion and force himself to do it even if he's not interested."
Sigma flicked Chuuya’s forehead. "That's why you need open and honest communication, especially in your sex life. Dazai knows you've been in both positions before, you've told him about your past and he knows that you've tried almost everything under the sun. You're not saying anything because you're scared he'll say no and you'll never get to bottom, don't even try to deny it, but if you never say anything, you'll never get to bottom either way. He needs to fuck you eventually if you want to have kids."
Chuuya scuffed her foot against the floor. "But that's years from now, and it's different. Sex to have a baby isn't the same as sex just to have sex."
Nikolai poked his sister. "Sex is sex, ChuChu. I promise that if you just talk to Zai, he'll understand. Besides, have you ever considered that maybe he's interested in topping and making you feel good, but isn't sure how to broach it either? You told us that first night you finally reached the stage of him feeling bold enough to wear lingerie for you that he wanted to make you feel good. He asked about what you were comfortable with. I think he would love a chance to explore topping with you, but just doesn't want you to think he hasn't enjoyed everything you do."
Sigma nodded his head. "That's why your female form might be the perfect segue into trying out a different position."
Chuuya slowly nodded her head. "You're right. I think when Niki finishes up my dress I'll go home to talk to him."
Nikolai hummed happily. "I don't need you for the rest of this outfit. You can pick out a different one from the rack of clothes I keep for your female form, including some lingerie. If you're feeling wicked, pick out an outfit for Zai."
Chuuya pouted, but let Nikolai help her out of the pinned dress. She then walked over to the rack of outfits to decide on a piece. Her eyes lit up when she saw a deep sapphire colored dress that was strapless and had a cut out back. The skirt stopped right below her thighs, just enough to drive her consort crazy. Nikolai had even built in a push-up bra to enhance her breasts. Without any tampering on her end, her female form had a perky set of A-cup breasts. "I want this one, Niki."
Sigma snickered. "Your consort won't give you a choice and will totally be trying to fuck you when he sees you. I'm pretty sure Niki has made a set to go with that dress."
Nikolai preened as he walked over and pulled the set out. It contained a strapless push-up bra, a pair of crotchless panties, a garter belt with sheer stockings and a matching nightgown. "If you want a corset instead, that is also an option."
Chuuya nodded as she studied the set. "Maybe another time. For now, this is perfect. Thank you, Niki."
Nikolai pulled the dress down and helped her into it. "Let us know how it goes. Dos-kun and I can keep the kids for a day or two if you need."
Chuuya smiled as she smoothed the dress down. "I'll let you know. They asked to sleep out in their treehouse tonight."
Sigma and Nikolai smiled at the memories that brought back. The three of them and Shirasae had often slept out in their treehouse. Nikolai hadn't been too sure about it the first time, but had quickly come to love it.
"That's great, Chuuya. Had you and Dazai already agreed or not?" Sigma enquired.
Chuuya hummed happily. "Osamu and I both agreed that if they wanted to sleep out there tonight we were fine with it."
Nikolai smirked. "I bet Zai already had something planned for you if he decided that the kids could go sleep in the tree house. It took plenty of convincing on your end last time they wanted to."
Chuuya shook her head with a soft laugh as she gathered her things. "To be fair, the tree house is still something he's getting used to the idea of. He didn't have one like we did, and he still worries about the kids being outside without us sometimes. It got Atsushi and Ryu to finally stop fighting last time we let them stay out there though, so that helped warm Osamu up to it."
Sigma leaned back in his chair. "How are Atsushi and Ryu doing? Any new fights?"
It felt like those two were always at each other’s throats nowadays. It had been a slow progression over the last year and a half from Ryu and Atsushi’s typical grievances with each other to full on screaming matches that would occasionally end in Chuuya having to stop them from getting physical with each other. It was putting both Chuuya and Dazai on edge, but Kouyou had assured them that it was just the boys growing up and into themselves. With two strong, opposing personalities, they were bound to clash.
Chuuya shook her head. "They've been pretty peaceful the last few days. Osamu and I told them that if they could make it through four days without fighting, we would let them sleep in the treehouse. Hence the relative peace at my house. I can tell Gin is waiting for the second shoe to drop, though. She tends to avoid them if they're near each other now."
Nikolai clicked his tongue. "Those two better grow out of this phase quickly. They're gonna give you and Zai grays and make Gin cry."
Chuuya grabbed her phone off the desk. "When Gin is around to see them fighting and doesn't just immediately leave the room, her crying is what makes them stop. They've at least started trying to temper themselves when she's around. Now, I need to go before the kids cause mischief and my whole plan is ruined."
Nikolai grinned. "Bye, ChuChu! Have fun getting Zai to fuck your brains out! You better not ruin any of those clothes!!"
Sigma waved to his sister. "I'm sure Dazai will adore you just as much in this form. Have fun, but please don't tell me about any of it later."
Nikolai snickered as he gave Chuuya a once over, making sure everything was in place. "Tell me all about it later! Now go get him, tiger!"
Chuuya laughed, giving her brothers a fond smile. "You're both ridiculous. I'll let you know how it goes." She said before snapping her fingers and appearing behind her consort in his art room.
"Whatcha painting, Osamu?" Chuuya asked, giggling as her feminine voice gave Dazai pause. "I decided you've been sweet enough to earn the right to see me in female form."
Dazai turned around, a smart remark on the tip of his tongue, which quickly died off. "Whoa!" Is what escaped instead. "Chuuya, you're gorgeous."
Chuuya blushed as she walked over to her consort and got pulled into his lap. "You think so? Does that mean my other form isn't gorgeous?" She teased, loving the way her consort’s eyes were such a gorgeous shade of honey gold. That was a shade reserved for her and her alone.
Dazai kissed her gently. "That's not what I meant and you know it, chibi. You've been teasing me with this form for years. I was beginning to think it was all one big taunt," he teased as he nuzzled her.
Chuuya sighed happily at the affection. "It has been fun teasing you about my female form. However, I was always going to show you eventually. I would be too curious not to."
Dazai smiled as he kissed her neck, delighting in the shiver she got whenever he kissed her there. "I'm very glad to know you would have eventually shown me. As for what I'm working on, well, it's not a big piece, but I thought you might enjoy it either way."
Chuuya turned to look at the canvas and felt her eyes widen. "Osamu, how?" She breathed as she stared at a picture of her with all three of her brothers. Obviously it was her male form, but it was based on a real memory. All four of them were standing in a garden, with Olethros on Chuuya’s shoulder. Shirasae had a hand held out towards the garden, and there were flowers just starting to come to his call.
Dazai smiled as he nuzzled her. "Your mother gave me a picture of this particular memory. I have to give it back once the portrait is done, but I don't mind that. I was thinking about making copies for your parents and brothers. This one is for you, though."
Chuuya turned around to kiss her consort, delighted in this surprise he had given her. She truly hadn't ever considered anything like this. Her Osamu was absolutely amazing. "I love it, Osamu. You should definitely plan on making one for my parents and brothers. Once they see mine, they'll be trying to steal it, and I'm not having that."
Dazai laughed softly. "I will see about getting that done then. Do you want to pick from all the finished portraits or are you wanting to keep this one?" He enquired as he gently rubbed her hips.
Chuuya purred, even as she started shaking her head. "No. This one is mine, no take backs! You made this for me, and I love it so much," she reached up when she realized there were tears coming down her face.
Dazai gently wiped the tears away. "You just said that you wished you had copies of some of those pictures."
Chuuya nodded, blue eyes bright with love for her consort. "I really love it, Osamu." She had been wanting more tangible memories of Shirasae. Her consort was so thoughtful and attentive. "How are the kids doing?"
Dazai smiled as he kissed right below each eye, then her lips. "They're good. Gin is pouting because her aunts went home. She's also been in here to ask if we're sure we don't want to give her a little sister or sisters yet. The boys are impatiently waiting for you to get home and sign off on the treehouse night."
Chuuya hummed happily as she wrapped her arms around her consort. "Have they been good while I was gone?"
//No, they laughed at me when I was running away from the girls. That's not nice at all.// Orpheus butted in.
Chuuya snickered as she looked at the fox. "Aw, poor baby. I think you're fine. Besides, you can always hide elsewhere."
Dazai snickered softly. "We know your opinion, Orpheus, but they've been really good other than that. I'm willing to let laughing at you slide. I laughed," he pointed out.
//Yes, but you then took everything off. They didn't offer that much.// Orpheus complained.
Chuuya hummed. "I think I'll sign off if that's all they've done." She then fidgeted as she grabbed Dazai’s hands. "Before we go tell the kids, can we talk about something?"
Dazai nodded as he squeezed her hands, sensing her nerves over the bond. "Of course we can, my darling. What's bothering you?"
Chuuya bit her lip. "Don't feel like you have to agree for my sake, Osamu. It's just in my female form I'm a lot more inclined to bottom than my male form where I can go either way. I won't be able to fuck you like this."
Dazai nodded as he gently kissed her hands. "You've told me before that you're a switch. I had been planning to talk to you about this while the kids were at their treehouse," he murmured. "You've been so patient with me these past few years while I adjust to what sex can be. I had been planning to ask if you would be patient a little longer as I try topping. I don't pretend to think I'll be good the first few times. If you're willing to bare with me, I'm ready to try. You'll have to help me learn what you like, but I feel confident that you can."
Chuuya stared at her consort with wide eyes, feeling his sincerity over the bond. "Do you mean that, Osamu?"
Dazai nodded his head, a soft smile gracing his lips. "I wouldn't tease you about something like this. I know how big of a part of your life sex was, and I know it's something you enjoy a lot. I want to give you as much of a complete sexual experience as I can. I want to satisfy you in every way possible. You've been so patient and good with me, Chuuya-mine. I want to be able to make you feel just as good."
Chuuya gently cupped Dazai’s cheeks, squeezing her consort's face. "You don't have to top to make me feel good."
Dazai turned his head to gently kiss one of his consort’s palms. "I know that, but I also know enough about sex to know that feeling good on top is different from feeling good on bottom, especially for someone who's into such a wide range of things."
Chuuya bit her bottom lip. "And you're sure about this? You're not just interested for my sake?"
Dazai used his thumb to gently pull Chuuya’s lip out from between her teeth. "I won't lie, part of my intrigue comes from the fact that I know you would be happy about it, but that's not the whole reason. I am genuinely curious to see what it's like. I think, given your patience and some help, I could really come to enjoy topping."
Chuuya slowly smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to the pad of Dazai’s fingers. "Well, it's a good thing I've brought out my female form then. It'll be easier for you to top me like this."
Dazai tilted his head. "Yeah? Why's that?"
"You know I'm impatient. Trying to fully temper me while on top for the first time might be a little much. Actually, I know it'll be too much. It would require a firm hand you won't be willing to use on me for a while. In female form, there's not nearly as much prep needed. It takes less time, which means I don't have as much time to get impatient and sassy with you or to rush you. Obviously I'd bottom eventually in male form, but I know I'll get too excited to bottom after not bottoming for so long. I'll be more impatient than normal, and you won't have to keep a firm hand on me in this form the same way you would if I was in male form to keep me from getting hurt. Make sense?" Chuuya rambled.
Dazai laughed softly as he kissed his consort. "You, get too excited? I'd never believe that," he teased softly.
Chuuya pouted as she pressed closer to steal a kiss. "Yes me, Osamu! Don't tease me!" She whined. "You have no idea how badly I've dreamed about this."
Dazai returned the kiss before tipping her chin up. "That wasn't the only thing I wanted to talk to you about, my darling."
Chuuya gazed at her consort with blue eyes darkened by bliss. "Yeah? What else did you want to talk about?"
Dazai smiled as he got down on one knee, still holding her hand. "Chuuya, I know that as consorts, we're already married in the eyes of all the gods and every way that counts. You're my other half, the one who completes me. As silly as it might be, will you marry me? In the Human tradition?" He asked brown eyes glittering a honey gold for her alone. In his opposite hand, the one not holding hers, was a ring. It had clearly been picked with her masculine form in mind. The ring was small enough that it could easily fit under her gloves and not be a nuisance, gloves she wasn't wearing right now. It had a small sapphire in the middle bordered by two topazes.
Chuuya teared up as she nodded her head. "Yes! I'll marry you in the Human Realm tradition, Osamu!!" She had never caught on that he was planning this. Her consort was so sneaky when he wanted to surprise her. She couldn't wait to show her brothers later on. This day was so much better than she ever imagined when she left earlier that morning.
Dazai cooed softly as he cupped her cheeks, gently wiping at her tears with his thumbs. "Don't cry. This is a happy occasion, isn't it?"
Chuuya laughed as she leaned into Dazai’s touch. "They're tears of joy, stupid mackerel! I had no idea this was coming! I wasn't ready, and neither were my emotions!"
Dazai chuckled as he let Chuuya take the ring from him. "Only you would call your consort a stupid mackerel while he's in the middle of proposing to you."
Chuuya smiled smugly as she slid the ring on, knowing it wouldn't fit but curious to see what it looked like against her skin. "You wouldn't want it any other way."
Dazai sighed, incredibly fond as he brought his consort’s hand up to his mouth to kiss. "You're right, I wouldn't. I'll have to get you another ring that'll fit your female form."
Chuuya shook her head. "Nonsense. With a little magic, it'll be able to size itself to the wearer's hand. I'll have Niki do it." She wasn't willing to do it herself and risk destroying or messing up something so precious to her.
Dazai smiled as he kissed her again. "You just want to brag," he teased.
Chuuya nodded her head. "I absolutely do!! My gorgeous mackerel consort proposed to me. My brothers need to be in awe."
Dazai chuckled as he kissed her neck. "Why don't we go get the kids ready to go and then you can call your brothers to gush." He suggested as Orpheus came over to study the ring.
//That is sparkly. Why do you gods give each other sparkly gems as a sign of affection?//
Olethros crooned as he flew in the open window and landed on Chuuya’s shoulder, nuzzling his goddess. //Because for some reason they find the sparkly gems more impressive than their mate going out and hunting food for them and their nestlings.//
Chuuya snickered as she ran a hand over Olethros' glossy feathers. "Because we appreciate the finer things in life," she teased before a knocking was heard on the studio door.
"Dad, when will papa be back!? Ryu, Sushi and I are ready to go see Lark and spend the night at the treehouse and you said papa has final say on if it happens!" Gin complained. At nine, she was still sweet, but nowhere near as sweetly innocent as when Chuuya first met her. She continued to grow into her mischievous streak and her powers of stealth grew stronger by the day.
Chuuya smiled mischievously. "How upset do you think she'll be with me for never bringing out this form before?"
Dazai chuckled, shifting Chuuya off his lap so he could open the studio door. "I believe you're in for quite the lecture, my darling chibi. You know, I'm just now realizing that you're even more of a chibi now than you were in your male form."
Chuuya huffed as she stomped over to her consort, looking up at him even more than usual thanks to the missing two inches of height her female form took from her. "I am not!!"
Dazai grinned, making a show of leaning down to get eye level with her. "Oh, I think you are. You're tinier. And here I thought your waist was small before. I bet I could wrap my hands around you no problem in this form"
Chuuya’s eye twitched. "I will hit you. It's not my fault that you have obnoxiously large hands!"
Dazai laughed while Gin knocked louder. "Dad?! Who's in there!?"
Dazai decided to have mercy on his consort, for now, as he opened the door to let their daughter in. "It's your papa, princess. Or well… mama? Mom?"
Gin pushed the door open the rest of the way, her eyes going wide when they landed on Chuuya. "You can do that too!? I thought it was just an Uncle Niki thing! That's not fair! Why are you just showing us now!? And here I've been complaining about not having another girl in the house."
Chuuya smiled fondly as she scooped her daughter into her arms. "Yes, all gods can do this given enough practice and time. I'm showing you now because I decided your dad had finally earned the right to see this form."
Gin furrowed her eyebrows for a moment. "Are you still papa?"
Chuuya puffed out her cheeks when Dazai stole Gin. "I'm whatever you want to call me. If you want to call me papa, I'm fine with that. If you're more comfortable calling me mom or mama, you can do that too."
Gin thought for a moment while she wrapped her arms around her dad. "I think I'll try mom. So, mom, can Ryu, Sushi, and I go see Lark and sleep in the treehouse?"
Chuuya sighed softly. "I want to talk to your brothers and see how they're getting along at the moment before I make a final decision, but as of now, my answer is yes."
Gin smiled hopefully. "They really want to go too, mom. So they've been on their best behavior."
Chuuya reached up and stole her daughter away from her consort, relishing in his pout and Gin’s giggles. "If they're still managing to be good, that won't be a problem. However, as you know, all it takes is a spark and they're at each other's throats. Ryu's old enough anyway that I think it might be time to apprentice him to Lord Kifu soon."
Dazai nodded his agreement. He knew Chuuya didn't like it anymore than he did, but they had to do what was best for their children. That included sending Ryu away to train if necessary.
Gin pouted as she tightened her grip on her mom. "No! Don't send him away, he'll do better!! I promise!! I can manage him!!"
Dazai kissed his daughter immediately. "We're not sending him away as a punishment or to get rid of him, princess. I promise. You three can be old and grey and you'll still be our babies. Part of a parent is doing what's best for you. Right now, Ryu's powers are waking up and coming in faster every day. The only one who can remotely help him train those powers is Lord Kifu. He won't stay there forever, not right away. Lord Kifu and Lady Althea will make him come home every so often."
Chuuya nodded her head. "Think of it like boarding school, princess. He's going to have lots of fun, but he'll still come home and miss us when he’s away. Besides, you can cross your fingers and hope Aislin makes him lift the ban on no younger siblings until he's fourteen," she teased.
Gin’s eyes lit up. "Do you really think that might work!!?"
Dazai tapped his daughter’s nose. "If no one suggests anything to him ahead of time, it might."
Gin nodded seriously. "I won't say a word, only when will he leave? Not tonight?"
Chuuya shook her head, nuzzling her daughter. "No, probably not until after your dad's ceremony this weekend."
Gin tilted her head. "What ceremony?" She didn't remember anything being mentioned, but Ryu was still the best about that out of all of them.
Dazai smiled as he stroked his daughter’s hair. "Grandfather and granddad are officially adopting me this weekend. It's a big ceremony and there's a big party after the boring part. At least that's how dad said it would seem to you three."
Chuuya smiled as she set Gin down. "Go get your brothers and meet us in the living room. We'll talk about the treehouse, visiting Lark, and the ceremony then."
Gin nodded her head dutifully. "Okay! I'll go get them!" She exclaimed before darting off.
Chuuya watched her go before turning to poke at her consort’s cheeks, getting back at him for his earlier short jokes. "Should we speak with Kifu and Althea tomorrow? That way we can get the ball rolling so Ryu can start his training as soon as possible? He needs to start getting a handle on his powers."
Dazai gently grabbed Chuuya’s hands, holding them still as he kissed her head. "You're the one who knows more about all of this than I do. If you think he needs to start training soon, then we'll get it all worked out."
Chuuya rested her forehead against Dazai’s chest. "We'll need to have a serious talk with him about this. He knows that he'll be training in the Third Realm, but it's different when it's actually a reality and not just something your parents are talking about. I need to talk with my father too. If Ryu needs to train, then Atsushi needs to start too with their powers growing at the same rate."
Dazai set his chin on top of Chuuya’s head, wrapping his arms around her. "You can call your father tonight, and we'll talk to Lady Althea and Lord Kifu tomorrow. For now, let's get to the living room to see our kids. I'm sure they'll be quite surprised."
Chuuya nodded her head. "They will, and it will be a nice surprise. Think Atsushi will fall off the couch?"
Dazai laughed softly. "I don't doubt it. He is better than when you first met him, but he's still a long ways off from grace being his forte."
Chuuya snickered as she scooped Orpheus up. "That's true, but we don't love him any less."
Dazai wrapped an arm around his consort and fiancé's shoulder. "No, we don't."
//I'm graceful. Do I get extra love because of that?// Olethros teased his companion as he rubbed his head against her cheek.
Chuuya laughed as they headed for the living room. "Yes, you get extra love, Olethros."
Dazai snickered. "You know you and Orpheus are our babies, too, Olethros." He crooned teasingly as they walked into the living room.
"Dad! Who's that and why is she holding Orpheus!?" Atsushi demanded hotly as Ryu glanced over and slapped his face. "Papa won't be happy with you."
"Jinko, that is papa. He's just a girl now. Uncle Niki said papa could turn into a girl, too, remember?" Ryu finally prompted his brother.
Atsushi paused, mouth forming an O. "I forgot. Are you sure that's papa?"
Ryu nodded his head. "Yes, obviously that's papa. Orpheus wouldn't let anyone else hold him, and Dad doesn't know any pretty ladies. Even if he did, he wouldn't have them here and he especially wouldn't have his arm around them."
Atsushi’s eyes widened slightly. "You're right! Dad would never do that to papa."
Dazai sighed fondly. "Well, at least they know that much. I would hate it if our children thought I was capable of being unfaithful."
Chuuya snickered. "Well, you do have a history of being weak for people with red hair and blue eyes." She teased as she set Orpheus down to run over to the kids and demand pets.
Dazai shook his head with a grin. "No, I have a history of falling for chibis. And you happen to be the chibiest of chibis. Blue eyes and red hair is just a bonus."
Chuuya put her hands on her hips. "Oi! You better watch your mouth, mackerel! I'm no chibi, and I'm certainly not the chibiest chibi!"
Atsushi let out a sigh of relief as he relaxed back against the couch. "Okay, that's definitely papa."
Gin wagged her finger at her brothers. "She's not papa, she's mom." She corrected.
Ryu raised an eyebrow as he poked his sister. "How do you know that, huh? Were you keeping this a secret from us?"
Gin squirmed and giggled. "No!! Mom and dad told me not to tell you!! They wanted to see your reactions for themselves!!"
Ryu hummed as he tickled his sister. "What happened to sibling loyalty?"
Dazai laughed softly. Ryu definitely was a blend of both him and Chuuya. All their kids were, but he could really see Chuuya in their eldest now.
Orpheus hopped up into Atsushi’s arms, getting his desired pets. //If you want something to really fuss at her about, look at Baki's hand.// Like his companion, Orpheus loved stirring up mischief.
Ryu paused in tormenting his sister to look at his mom's hand, immediately zeroing in on the engagement ring alongside Atsushi. "You proposed, dad?"
Dazai nodded his head. "I did, your mom graciously agreed. We obviously don't have anything planned out in that regard yet, but we'll let you know when we do. However, there are a few things we need to discuss. Do you remember your grandparents talking about officially adopting me?"
Atsushi nodded his head. "Yes, they said even though you were grown up, they still wanted to make everything official! Can you officially adopt grown ups?"
Chuuya smiled as she pulled her son into a hug. "In the way they're talking about, yes. It's called a Blood Adoption, and for everything that counts, including DNA tests, your dad would show up as Mori and Fukuzawa’s son."
Ryu furrowed his eyebrows. "Can anyone do a blood adoption?" He was secure in his parents love and never being taken away, but being his parents in blood as well meant no one could ever say he didn't belong to them again.
Chuuya nodded her head. "Yes, anyone can do a blood adoption. My parents did it with Sigma, Niki, and Shirasae. If you three are interested, your dad and I would like to do it with you as well. We just wanted you to be a little older and settled into your godhood before we brought it up."
Gin hummed as she held her arms out to her dad, getting scooped up. "Does it just make us yours by blood or is there more?"
Dazai kissed his daughter’s head. "There is more to it. It's the primary reason why we wanted to wait until you three were older. During the blood adoption, you'll have the capability to change your physical features so you look more biologically related to your mom and I."
Atsushi’s eyes widened. "That's a thing!?"
Chuuya smiled softly at her son. "Pretty much anything is a thing in the Heavenly Realm, especially with appearance. I mean, look at me right now. There's your proof. Or how your Uncle Niki hides his scar sometimes." She herself hid plenty of scars all around her body with magic.
Ryu studied his parents. "So you wanted to wait until we were older so we didn't make any rash decisions about our appearance?" He asked, though really it was a statement, for he already knew the answer.
Dazai nodded his head. "Yes, that's exactly why. At six and eight, we didn't think that would be a good idea. We wanted you guys to be older so you could make a better decision instead of letting a desire to seem like we share genes determine your choice and what you actually like."
Chuuya rolled her eyes at her consort. "In other words, we didn't want other people's shitty opinions to determine what you guys change or don't change."
Dazai pinched the bridge of his nose. "Chuuya, I thought we talked about swearing in front of the kids?"
Chuuya arched an eyebrow. "They're nine and eleven with a superior sense of hearing, better than most gods. Do you really think they haven't heard anything? Especially considering they live around my family?"
Dazai snorted in amusement. "You and Niki are the only ones who make a habit of swearing."
Chuuya gasped in offense. "Hey! Sigma swears, and so do my parents! Now you're just being biased."
Dazai sighed fondly at his consort. "Just keep the swearing to a minimum around the kids, chibi, that's all I ask."
Chuuya crossed her arms over her chest. "I am keeping the swearing to a minimum. It was one word, and it was barely even a swear word."
Gin giggled at the exchange between her parents. "I think we should get a swear jar for mom. Everything she swears around us she has to put in twenty-five cents, and at the end of the month us kids get to use that money to buy something we want!"
Ryu huffed at his family's inability to stay focused on one topic. "Who cares about the swearing? We can change our appearances during the blood adoption, and all you guys want to talk about is swearing?"
Atsushi frowned at Ryu. "You don't have to be mean about it. What happened to lightly leading a conversation back to the first topic?"
Gin’s smile dropped as she wiggled out of her dad's arms and sat between her brothers. "Don't even start, you two! You are not ruining us getting to spend the night in the treehouse with a stupid argument like this!"
Dazai nodded as he sat down, pulling Chuuya into his lap. "Yes, I probably won't change my appearance, because I wouldn't want your mom to not recognize me," he teased.
Chuuya smiled as she stroked his cheek. "I'll always recognize you, Osamu. However, I would be disappointed if your beautiful eyes or brown curls went away."
Atsushi tilted his head. "Grandfather has pretty eyes, mom."
Chuuya nodded her head. "They are nice, but I've loved your dad's brown eyes since he first looked at me with unfocused eyes," she murmured.
Dazai smiled as he kissed his consort gently. "I thought you had the most gorgeous blue eyes."
Ryu gagged playfully. "We know you're madly in love, back to the conversation topic, please?"
Dazai sighed fondly. "Okay, what do you want to know, little man?"
Ryu settled on having his parents' attention back on the topic. "Do we have to change only things like hair and eyes?"
Chuuya shook her head. "No, you can change smaller things, like the shape of your nose, your cheeks, or jawline. You can also do something as hard to pin down as wanting to have your dad's height when you're fully grown."
Ryu nodded his head slowly. "What if we don't really know what we want?"
Dazai reached out to card a hand through his son's hair. "The way dad explained it to me was that if you want something from us, but don't really know what, besides not wanting to change your hair or eyes, the magic will take care of it."
Chuuya joined her consort in carding Ryu’s hair, her other hand carding Gin’s. "Your granddad told your dad right. The magic will take over if you want something but don't quite know what you want."
Atsushi looked up from Baji and Orpheus. "So the magic can help us?"
Chuuya nodded her head. "Yes, your dad might get something like your grandparents height, the magic can finish correcting the years of malnutrition that your grandfather, aunt, and uncles started trying to correct." Mori and her father had done a lot for her consort and children's malnutrition. Her father's meals had always been laced with the tiniest bit of magic to help their immune systems and fight the malnutrition.
When Ryu had his surgery, Mori and Althea had used their magic to fight more of the results from malnutrition. They had also done what they could for Dazai.
Gin leaned into her mom's hand. "I think I want to have more blue in my eyes, like mom. I don't want to get rid of my gray eyes, but more of a blue tint would be nice."
Chuuya smiled softly. "Yeah? You'll still be our gorgeous princess, no matter what you decide."
Atsushi beamed. "I want to be at least as tall as dad when I grow up!"
Dazai snickered at his consort’s feelings on the matter. "You want your mom to be able to call you a tree, too?"
Atsushi shook his head. "Mom wouldn't ever call me a tree."
Chuuya pouted as she leaned back into Dazai. "I most definitely will. Though, I have a feeling you'll all end up taller than me no matter what. I don't want to think about my babies being taller than me."
Gin giggled at her mom. "Ryu's already almost as tall as you. Especially now that you're shorter."
Chuuya groaned and hid her face in her consort’s shoulder. "Ugh! Even the kids noticed!"
Ryu snorted as he leaned back into the couch. "It's kind of hard not to notice when two whole inches of height disappear."
Chuuya huffed. "That's it! If anyone else brings up my height, there's no spending the night in the treehouse."
Dazai grinned as he tipped Chuuya’s chin up so she had to look at him. "That doesn't affect me, chibi."
Chuuya arched an eyebrow. "It doesn't?" She asked, amusement seeping into her tone. /Last I checked, there was no sex if the kids are still in the house./
Dazai kissed Chuuya softly. /Oh fine, Chuuya wins. I won't bring up your height anymore./
Chuuya pulled away from the kiss to roll her eyes. /Yeah, for now./
Gin pouted at her mom. "Stop kissing dad and tell us what the final decision is. Can we stay in the treehouse? We promise not to say anything else about your height."
Dazai snickered as he kissed Chuuya’s shoulder. "Blackmailing our children? How low, chibi dear. Since your mom did such a thing, I'll answer. Yes, you all can stay out in the treehouse." He knew his consort was fine with it.
All three children cheered and kissed their parents before hopping up to run out of the room until Dazai reached out to snag his eldest. "Not just yet. We have one more thing to talk to you about. It concerns you the most, Ryu."
Ryu frowned as he settled back down in his seat, reaching out to fist his hands in Rashoumon's fur. "What is it? Have I done something wrong?"
Dazai shook his head. "No, Ryu. You haven't done anything wrong. Your mom has just noticed how fast your powers have been growing."
Ryu relaxed as he turned to look at his mom. "What does that have to do with anything?"
Chuuya smiled softly. "With your powers advancing as they are, it's time for you to go to Lord Kifu and start learning how to control your powers. He's the best one to teach you."
//Your mom is right. Lord Kifu has the respect of all demons and until you come of age and know how to control your powers and to keep the demons in line, we answer to him. Once you are of age and have full control of your powers we will answer to you first. Then Lord Kifu. Perhaps in time we might listen to your consort because they're important to you, but it will always go you, Lord Kifu, then your consort or possibly Lady Althea before your consort. She's not a goddess to be messed with.//
Ryu nodded his head. //That's what I've heard.// He then looked up at his parents. "Will I still be able to come home?"
Dazai nodded his head. "Yes, you can come home whenever you need us. Lord Kifu knows how important it is for you to see us and for us to see you. We'll settle on days when you can return home when we talk to Lord Kifu and Lady Althea."
Ryu nodded his head, a little more settled since he knew his parents were all for him still coming home. Like always, they were doing this for him, because it was best for him.
Chuuya kissed Ryu's head gently. She then turned her attention to Atsushi. "We're going to talk to your Great Grandfather about training you, Sushi. Gin, princess, I think your Grandpa has spoken up for training you. He'll be good at it, and I think he wants to help Sushi as well. We'll see how things play out, everyone wants to help train you, and if Lord Kifu didn't have a clear win over Ryu, they'd be arguing for him too. You two might even end up switching out trainers depending on what they decide on. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
Ryu relaxed further at his mom's reassurance that if he wasn't in a unique situation and had to learn from Kifu that his family would be fighting over who got to train him as well.
Dazai smiled as he gently ran a hand through his son's hair. "I think that's everything. Unless you have more questions you're free to head out to see Lark and stay in your treehouse." He glanced at his consort to see if she had anything else to add.
Atsushi shifted closer to Ryu on the couch. "Are Gin and I going to be away from home too to train?"
Chuuya shook her head. "No, you guys would still come home like you would from school. The only one who's leaving home is Ryu because he needs to be in the Third Realm."
Gin wrapped her arms around her eldest brother. "But… that's not fair. Ryu needs to come home too. He can't go away."
Ryu gently patted Gin’s head. "Think of it like me going to a boarding school. Really, I'll probably come home more often than if that was the case."
Gin’s bottom lip trembled. "You'll be gone for so long though. What if you forget about all of us?"
Ryu snorted. "How could I ever forget about you all? That's ridiculous, Gin. You have nothing to worry about."
Chuuya gently kissed her daughter's head. "Your brother loves us very much. He'll miss us while he's away, and we'll be able to call him. It's not like we're never going to hear from him or see him."
Gin nodded her head reluctantly. "Promise?" She couldn't bear for her older brother to forget her.
Ryu smiled at his sister and even Atsushi. "I promise. I'll even get you something before I leave so you know that I won't forget you or break my promise."
Gin nodded her head. "Okay," she agreed reluctantly.
Dazai smiled fondly as he held Chuuya tighter. /They're still so adorable. They're not used to being separated for long./
Chuuya nodded her head as she watched her kids while stroking Olethros' feathers. /I know they're not, but Ryu needs this. I also think the separation will do him and Sushi good. I don't particularly like it anymore than they do. Like you, however, I want what's best for our son./
/It's why I love you, Chuuya-mine. You're a great mom. I'm so glad you came into our lives when you did./
Chuuya preened as she kissed her consort while their children finished talking among themselves. /I'm glad I found you and the kids when I did as well./
Ryu cleared his throat and waited for his parents to separate and look at them. "I think we've got all our questions answered for now. We're going to get ready to leave, remember though, no younger siblings for another three years!!"
Chuuya gently flicked Ryu's forehead. "Oh shush, you. Go get ready."
Ryu snickered as he got up. "I'm going. I'm going. Just remember what I said!" He called as he darted off up the stairs.
