The next morning Jesper knew something was wrong.Between the two of them Jesper was usually the first one to get up, energetic after a full night of sleep. Wylan didn’t take long to follow, being used to getting up early, but he always stayed a bit longer than Jesper. And Jesper couldn’t never help but indulge Wylan, seeing how soft and warm and comfortable his boyfriend looked. More often than not, he joined Wylan for a while again, before they braved the world together.
This morning however, Wylan stayed in bed longer than usual.

Summary
“I was going to tell you,” Wylan finally breathed, his voice high and pleading. Jesper managed to bring himself to look at the boy’s face, still avoiding his eyes, but noticing his wet and splotchy cheeks.
“Oh were you?” Without intending to, he found his tone was intensely biting, desperate for anything to sink its yellow teeth into.
Jesper knew he should breathe. He knew he should stop before he said something he’d regret, but the boiling heat in his core was still rolling, and just like always, Jesper found he just couldn’t stop.

"And he's not my nemesis," Wylan immediately added, though he had to admit that he'd been keeping a wary distance from the little bundle so far. "It's not his fault. None of this is," he added quietly.
For a moment, the tomb was filled with thoughtful silence as they all watched the little human who was now happily babbling to himself and kicking his legs, unaware that he was the topic of their conversation.
