Silver paced back and forth, up and down the room. He was frowning, his golden eyes facing the oak floor. His fingers combed through his fluffy white fur. He twirled his pointing finger around a lock of fur. It was a clear sign of anxiety. The young hedgehog boy was worried about something, his mind was elsewhere. His mind was on his partner, more specifically; Blaze had been gone, for weeks now. Three weeks. Two days. Seven hours. Thirty-Three minutes. Seventeen seconds. And nine vorns. (Which was a unit of time shorter than a nano-second, which very few beings could comprehend.) He was keeping count. The first few days were fine; Silver found himself plenty occupied by his duties at Sol. Blaze, in her infinite kindness and hospitality, offered Silver a residence not only in the Sol Dimension, but within the Sol Palace itself. But now the wait was beginning to weight on him.
There, it's finally done and out of my drafts! Believe it or not this fic has been in my drafts for three years. Finally managed to come back to it and finish it off.
