Summary
With the serial killer known only as the Defector thrown into the mix among a blurry past, its truth known only by a scant few, an unlikely and informal alliance begins to form between jurisdictions. But such a chapter in the massive city's history is merely the beginning. A terrorist attack later starts a descent into an unravelling mystery made unknown by the public, but to those whom are aware, the growing series of violent attacks could prove to become something far more heinous than they already appear.
These seemingly unrelated incidents slowly grow threads between them, with only its victims to piece together the puzzle left in the larger conspiracy's wake. Association comes to mean assassination, and Captain Zhu Yuan finds out late that such attacks are meant for furthering a far more detrimental plot. All the while, as Criminal Investigations (with the help of Phaethon) tries to uncover the culprits and their identities, said culprits continue in their unknown efforts towards an equally unknown goal, and one that is fatal to discover.

Summary
The delicious aroma is wafting around her like a spell, and when she enters only hearing Seth’s happy humming breaks her trance.
Oh. He’s off today, isn’t he?
“Ah! Good morning, Jane! Or, well, afternoon! Hi!” Jane hears Seth’s joyful chirping as she finds the source of the smell that lured her out of the comfort of her bed. He turns around to greet her with a smile that practically lights up the room, and she feels slightly more awake than before.
Her ears wiggle with subtle happiness at his ‘good morning’. She’ll never get used to it.
It takes her a second to stop rubbing her bleary eyes to see the cat thiren with a spatula in hand and… in a pink apron?
She blinks again, and then a few more times just to make sure she’s seeing things correctly.
He’s so… irresistibly domestic right now, it's a little ridiculous. And damn it she’s a sucker for it.
Or; Seth is the best househusband and makes his favorite girl some breakfast, and Jane is more than grateful for his irresistible sweetness
