Summary
“For fuck’s sake, Fred.” Roger ran his hand down his face and shook his head, his voice soft and so unlike his. The feeling in Freddie’s stomach only doubled, swirling streams of dread and guilt twirling together and rising into his throat. “That’s not the fucking book, is it?”
“What?” Freddie closed the book and turned it over in his hands. “It’s full of songs, darling. What are–”
“I don’t give a shit! You weren’t meant to bring the purple one.”
Freddie kept his eyes on the notebook in his hand, a rock forming around his heart and cutting off his breath as his mind flashed back. He remembered finding it and laughing at how Roger couldn’t tell the difference between the actual colour of the book and the colour he thought it was.
“Blue, Fred. I said fucking blue.”
OR
Freddie picks up the wrong notebook and, as a result, sings a song that was never meant to be heard.

Summary
Tim yanked him closer and Roger shot Brian a glance as he struggled againgst the tight arms around his waist. He hoped his emotions were clear enough on his face – an apology, a plea, desperation.
“Leave it, Brian.” Tim’s voice was nothing less than a snarl and it was clear that his entire attention had transferred over to Brian now. Whatever Tim’s intentions had been, they were now less to do with sex and more to do with winning this pissing contest. “Walk. Away.”
“No.”
Tim’s voice lowered even further. “I know you have a hero complex and a hard-on for Rog, but he’s mine tonight. You can have him tomorrow. Sloppy seconds and all that.”
Uh oh. Roger watched as Brian’s face shuttered down and his eyes darkened, even in the low light of the club.

Summary
“Stop moving, Bri,” Roger complained with a whine. “Chairs don’t move.”
Brian rolled his eyes, but leant forward to kiss Roger quiet. Their lips met sweetly and Roger sighed into the kiss, causing Brian to smile. Roger’s hands slid up and over Brian’s chest until his fingers locked together behind Brian’s neck, holding him close to deepen the kiss just a little.
“Oh, good. I hoped you’d still be here. Sorry, but I think I left my – oh, God!”
Brian and Roger broke apart when a fourth voice spoke from the doorway, though Roger made no move to get off Brian’s lap.
“Sorry,” John said again, his eyes locked on Brian and Roger, “I didn’t – oh, I didn’t know you were… well, that.”

“What?” Roger tried to laugh and looked to his other band members for help. “I’m not gonna have a drink. I’ll just get a coke or something, Deaks. An orange juice if I’m feeling really kinky.” He waggled his eyebrows and Freddie laughed at his ridiculousness, nudging him in the side and earning a smirk.
“No,” John said again, eyes locked on Roger’s form and ignoring everyone else in the room. “Not to the pub, you can’t come.”
“Course you can, Rog,” Brian said quickly, lifting his eyebrows at John who steadfastly ignored him.
“But-”
“It’s pregnancy, darling,” Freddie cut in lightly, eyes flicking over to Brian and back to John as he tried to keep his tone casual, “it’s not contagious.”
“You can’t go.”
“Well then none of us will go,” Brian said forcefully before Roger could reply again. There was a fire burning in his blue eyes and Brian really didn’t want it to start spreading. “We’re a band. We do things together.”
John opened his mouth as if to respond, but Brian’s glare made him snap it shut.

“John? You find something?”
More silence.
Brian put down his book and made to stand up when John suddenly reappeared. Any words died in Brian’s throat when he saw what John was holding; namely a velvet skirt and a cheap-looking make-up set. There was a flimsy bra hanging from his finger and a laddered pair of tights over his arm. Brian blinked slowly a few times before his brow furrowed.
“What–”
“They were in Roger’s room,” John said, quietly, slowly. “Down the side of his bed. I’m so sorry, Brian.”

Summary
Roger woke slowly, a smile spreading across his face as he rolled over to chase the warmth in the space next to him. Although he hated to wake up alone, he could hear Brian down the hallway in the kitchen singing along to the radio with the accompaniment of pots and pans clinking against the counter. It was such a wonderfully domestic way to wake up that Roger felt his heart skip a beat.
If someone had told him when he was a teenager that he would willingly wake up in the same bed with the same man for months and years on end, he’d have laughed at them until tears were streaming down his face.

“Hey.” Roger placed the plate down onto the coffee table and lifted one of the mugs in front of Brian’s face, shaking it slightly to grab his partner’s attention. “It’s hot.”
Brian didn’t shift his gaze as he held out his hands blindly. Shaking his head fondly, Roger slotted the mug into Brian’s grip.
“What did I miss?”
“Michael Charlton is in Houston.” Brian blew over the rim of his cup and took a sip. “They’re relaying the signal from Australia and–”
“Okay.” Roger yawned widely as he settled further back into the cushions and tucked his legs up beneath his body. “It’s far too late for technical talk, baby.”
“It’s just so amazing, sweetheart. We’re about to be on the moon; the moon, Rog!”

Roger’s head snapped round almost immediately and he glared at Freddie. “No. Not that one.”

“I said no, Fred. I’m not doing that one today.”
“And it only matters what you want, right?”
Even John winced at Brian’s sharp tone and Roger turned back to his friend with shock all over his face.
“Excuse me?”
“What Roger wants, Roger fucking gets. Who cares what anybody else wants, as long as Roger is fucking happy, right?”

Brian and Roger are the best of friends, until one drunken night that Roger can't remember.
