There's a horrifying crash to Hitoshi's side and then a bull-headed man is next to him right where Bakugou used to be and the wall across from them isn't there anymore.

He's being thrown into a cell, one that's barely big enough for him and the other person already inside of it and the sneer of "Do us all a favour and explode him first, will you?" makes more sense when Hitoshi comes face to face with crimson eyes.

Just like Hitoshi said, Bakugou is in the common room, sitting on one of the couches and staring off into nothing.
It's—wrong, that much is for certain, because Bakugou is always moving, always animated and to see him this still and distant is jarring in a way Shouta wasn't prepared for.

Summary
Hitoshi gets it. Katsuki’s known Midoriya for years, they’ve lived and died for each other. He has this close, sometimes hostile, but undeniable bond with Todoroki too. Kirishima was the first person in their class that ever got close to Katsuki. It makes sense that Katsuki would want to get them something great.
It’s…it’s not a big deal that Katsuki would forget Hitoshi in all of that. For one thing, Hitoshi doesn’t think he’s easy to shop for. Katsuki already does a million things for him too. The drinks in the morning could have been his present. The blowjob in the shower might have been too. He doesn’t need an actual gift-wrapped present to know that Katsuki cares about him.
or: Hitoshi thinks Katsuki forgot to get him a gift (he’s never been more wrong).
