But the vials he’d stole from Tobias are more important to him, as he scrambles up onto his knees to look for a new needle, pulling the old one out and tossing it absentmindedly onto the floor, cleanliness be damned.
He always kept new needles in his medicine cabinet, because sepsis is one painful way to go. And sepsis means going to the hospital, if he makes it out in time, and going to the hospital means that he’d deal with confrontation. He can’t deal with that, no, not while in a hospital bed, hooked up to IVs that spell out the end of his job.
