Even though Esteban was always worried about the press finding out about his big secret and Luisa’s own trepidations about their fake marriage, this was their family, and she was happy to hit every possible milestone. Those, at least, felt real and tangible.
And so Luisa wanted the two of them to walk with Gloria towards the water together for her first time, one on each side, the glossy picture of the perfect family she had always dreamed of having. But that perfect picture day soon came to a screeching halt.
