Summary
Seonghwa has always been good at staying in the background—observing, organizing, keeping everything (and everyone) running smoothly. But when he realizes he’s missing crucial credits for his business minor, he’s forced to take on a last-minute internship as the manager of a university dance group.
What starts as a practical solution quickly turns complicated. The group is talented, intense, and already on edge preparing for an important competition. At its center stands Hongjoong, a perfectionist leader who pushes himself—and everyone else—far beyond their limits.
As Seonghwa steps into his new role, he finds himself caught between personalities, expectations, and unspoken tensions. Managing schedules is easy. Managing people, especially someone like Hongjoong, is not.
And yet, for reasons he doesn’t want to decipher, Seonghwa can’t seem to look away.

Summary
Seonghwa opened his eyes, he hadn’t even realized he had closed them. The first thing he noticed was the thick leather boots in front of him. The next thing he realized was that the owner of these boots was talking quietly. Not to him but to the pirate beside him.
“He’s alive, right?”
“Yeah… But he looks like shit compared to before. His leg is definitely worse for wear. I thought you said it was just a scrape?”
“That's what he told me, I didn’t exactly hold him down and strip him to find out, Yunho”
Yunho sighed, and lightly Seonghwa felt the pirate's hand tap his shoulder. “Really?” The Captain questioned with an annoyed tone. “I don’t want to get stabbed Hongjoong…” Yunho mumbled.
;; Seonghwa is a merchant navigator aboard a ship that has been decimated by a notorious Captain and his feared crew, left alive and taken aboard by Hongjoong for reasons he doesn't quite understand.
Hongjoong is the new Captain of the Halazia, and searching for a navigator who can lead him and his crew to a legendary place regarded once as a sailors tale until he finds a piece of a map.
They need each other, whether they want to or not.

Yeosang with his angelic face–he keeps yer master-of-arms secrets well, doesn't he? And Jongho looks like he could snap a mainmast with his bare hands. But if ye do not feed their souls along with their bellies, if ye try to become a ruthless monster because the land became too small for ye...they will leave ye to drown.”
OR; we were joking about Hongjoong having no diamonds to be affectionate to Seonghwa so I wrote a whole ass fic about it.

“The man leans forward, resting his clasped hands on the table, “I have a job for you.”
The woman at the bar giggles at something undoubtedly mundane that the man next to her uttered. Seonghwa rests back in his chair, and waves a hand for the man to continue.
“I need you to steal a compass from the Captain of The Aurora.”
Seonghwa appreciates a man that can get straight to the point, but the proposition makes him raise an eyebrow.
“You want me to steal from The Pirate King himself?”

"Not only did you think you could steal from a pirate captain, but also escape from one? That's pretty foolish to me...darling."
"I'd rather you call me thief."
OR Seonghwa always thought he was nothing more than a street rat, a thief living off pick pocketing and stealing from local vendors. All of that changes when he tries to pick pocket the infamous pirate captain Kim Hongjoong, who then reveals to him the matching birthmark. Which is supposed to lead them to a treasure that the captain has been hunting for, for years.
However, legends are always told differently, and a darker fate awaits the two.
