    Summary

“Something’s wrong with Charley, I think he’s dying.”

“Dying?!” Horror and incredulousness pushed Miles’ first question—who the hell is Charley?—to the back of the queue. “Wright, are you insane? Call an ambulance, why would you call me?”

“I don’t think he has the insurance for that.” Before Miles could criticize Wright’s flippant tone, Wright gestured to the potted plant in the corner of the room. “Edgeworth, meet Charley.”

    Summary

"I think you’re missing what Curator wanted out of you. You managed to walk out of her museum with something you shouldn’t have, and I suspect hiring you was more about giving you motive not to do that again than anything else.”

Stanley considered this, and concluded: “You’re just mad she dragged you back to work, aren’t you?”

Narrator said, “Curator is paying us both very generously,” and that seemed to be addressed to himself as much as it was to Stanley.

If you have super powers, why not don a mask and cause some trouble?
Unfortunately, Stanley robbed the wrong museum, and now he's being put to work in the 'Special Acquisitions' department, stealing objects of great importance or power from private collectors and bringing them back to the safety and security of his new employer's museum.

Narrator has been trying to quit this type of work for years now, and yet, here he is. He's here to support and train the reckless new agent, and good god he already needs a raise.

(Despite it all, Mariella is still here.)

Masterfully treading the line between absurdity and complete seriousness, the Superthieves au is a phenomenally executed story written by a wonderfully clever writer.

Follow Stanley, a cunning thief who laughs in the face of mortality as he cheats at its game, and Narrator, a practiced spy with the ability to change fate as we know it, as they steal countless magical artifacts to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.

This fic consistently makes me laugh out loud, and manages to keep me at the edge of my seat in nonsensical yet extremely suspenseful scenes. It’s a blast to read, filled to the brim with witty quips that in their absence make angsty moments all the more hard-hitting. It contains some of the most rewarding plot twists and turns that have foreshadowing threaded in with immense precision, and a cast of characters who are unforgettable. It’s an extremely fun ride that I have absolutely no problem re-reading, and I implore everyone to do the same.

    Summary

“It’s a preexisting condition,” Jon explains, sipping more bitter tea. “I sort of got—hm. You know Spiderman?”

    Tim raises an eyebrow.

    “Heard of him, yeah.”

    Jon nods, studying his tea.

“It’s sort of like that,” he says. “A spider killed and ate me when I was a child, and now I can’t stay dead.”
