Summary
Again, they feel their emptiness try to shrink and that jittery-ness in their mind activate, and before they could even register anything, the charm that's stuck on them senses the horror of its bearer and lashes out at the world around them with no target other than the general vicinity around the Knight. The unfortunate thing is, the peace-loving bug that was just walking and unintentionally triggered the ordeal happened to be in that vicinity.

Summary
It's not jealousy. Adrian is adamant about that. They are actually insisting that it’s not any emotion at all. Not even dislike. They are simply completely uninterested in anything that concerns “the human”.
Rocky believes them. Adrian has always been the level-headed one out of the two of them. They are too logical to be jealous. They acknowledge that Grace and Rocky have a special bond after everything they went through together and also understand that none of that will ever pose a threat to their relationship.
Neither are they heartless or ungrateful. They know that Grace is the only reason that Rocky is back at all, the only reason their star has stopped dying. Adrian has told Rocky again and again that they are grateful and happy and wish the alien no ill will. They even helped with the construction of the biodome.
And yet they have no desire to get to know Grace.

Summary
“I just don’t see how you can fix it”, I think, but keep it to myself. My friendo over here is still a future patient at the local Eridian mental health center. I don’t want to pour salt on his wound. He couldn’t “fix” his colleagues and friends on his ship. He wants, or maybe even needs, to fix me. There’s nothing bad in playing along for a while. Besides in less than a year we’ll be on Erid. At this point I’m not so sure if they’d be able to actually save me. But I mean two heads are better than one, and if Rocky alone was able to save me so many times, imagine what can happen if there’s a whole planet invested in my well being.
Well, “the whole planet” is maybe an over reach. I’d be fine with two eridians, really. At least two. I think if there were two Rockies they wouldn’t have needed me to save Erid. They would’ve been fine. Rocky is a magnificent engineer, I’d even say a scientist at heart. He’s stubborn to admit how good and smart he is. But I know it in my heart. I think at the end of the day he didn’t really need me. I think he just needed a company. And soon enough I’ll finish this task. And maybe then I can. You know. Become food for other-planet worms.
